i see via the hype item that BET has optioned theBLACK PANTHER for a PRIME TIME animated series starting early next year discuss

Well, I'm not a fan of BET, but I am white so maybe I just don't get it or something. In all seriousness, it sounds like it could be interesting.

This could either be very good, or suck terribly.

Maybe it will be a teenage BP who is a prince but still gets a vibranium armour.

Not much of a difference there other than BP being a teen. Seeing as it's on BET, and seeing as Hudlin is in charge of BET, it will likely be an adaptation of his run on the BP book. So, take from that what you will.

I'm intrigued by this. hope it comes out good :)

I think I'll leave from that what I will instead.

Get it? :)

I get it. I'm not laughing but I "get" it.

:p

I think it could be good. I will wait to see some production art first, maybe until I see some animation, before I make a judgement.

I hope the animation style is really good.

Sooo, you're waiting to see the animation style?

i wonder what chris wallace tke on this is?

I certainly never would have imagined Black Panther as an animated prime time show, but it could work! Hudlin's run on the series has had its ups(the first arc was pretty bad-a$$, and there have been moments...), and downs(too many to discuss:whatever:), but the world could use a positive black African superhero. I just hope they really ground him as an African, and not turn him into a 'ghetto Afro-American'. I know that could sound harsh, but you all know what I mean, especially if its going on BET.

T'Challa is a regal, educated man of ancient lineage. I would hate to see him as anything else. I have no problem with him coming to America, maybe teaching in Harlem like he did for a while in the comics, so as to provide a contrast against Americanized Africans and the real deal. If written correctly it could be a very positive influence on the BET crowd, something other than the gang-banging, booties and hoes, car on hydrolics, and all that crap that passes for "Black culture" these days. I want to see the King of Wakanda, technologically advanced, spiritually enriched ancient culture of enlightened Africans. That would be awesome. Even cooler if they add Storm, though I somehow don't think that would be easy with all the liscensing legal drama with that other Wolverine and the X-Men show coming down the pipeline.

I'd be willing to watch it. Who are they getting to do the voice?

There's no fatsuit or woman makeup on this show.

the voice of both samurai jack and green lantern john stewart you couldn't go wrong with that

Sounds like a winner to me. Though James Earl Jones would work too.

Let's see...
I refuse to watch BET. Hudlin's Black Panther is bad. Oh, and Hudlin is in charge of BET.

Pass.
