I certainly never would have imagined Black Panther as an animated prime time show, but it could work! Hudlin's run on the series has had its ups(the first arc was pretty bad-a$$, and there have been moments...), and downs(too many to discuss
), but the world could use a positive black African superhero. I just hope they really ground him as an African, and not turn him into a 'ghetto Afro-American'. I know that could sound harsh, but you all know what I mean, especially if its going on BET.
T'Challa is a regal, educated man of ancient lineage. I would hate to see him as anything else. I have no problem with him coming to America, maybe teaching in Harlem like he did for a while in the comics, so as to provide a contrast against Americanized Africans and the real deal. If written correctly it could be a very positive influence on the BET crowd, something other than the gang-banging, booties and hoes, car on hydrolics, and all that crap that passes for "Black culture" these days. I want to see the King of Wakanda, technologically advanced, spiritually enriched ancient culture of enlightened Africans. That would be awesome. Even cooler if they add Storm, though I somehow don't think that would be easy with all the liscensing legal drama with that other Wolverine and the X-Men show coming down the pipeline.
