Black Panther Trailer!

Coolio!it's got that 60's marvel superheroes( hulk, thor, cap,and iron man )feel to it. I wished they would've not use the cape. I hate BP with the cape, but I will take what they give me.I am there!! Man!That aint no kiddie show either.
Thanks Capn Stacy

You got it, man.

i love the "John Romita Jr." feel to the animation. Im really looking forward to this!

me too. i haven't seen a adult animated series since Justice league went off the air. I still have to check out that batman anime one, but this looks terrific!

Wasn't feeling that "60's Marvel" animation style at all.

I hope that was just for the teaser, and the bit at the end with BP is more indicative of the how the show really is.

I'm glad BP is getting his own series. But I'm not diggin the animation. Hopefully that was just for the trailer. I was expecting something like Afro Samarui.

Also, I now believe this show should come on a station like Spike maybe because it coming on BET might draw away a lot of viewers.

I really don't like this. There's a reason why comic book art works for comics; it's not meant to be dynamic in the way they're forcing it to be here. That's why people have their jollies watching the old attempts at panel-for-panel recreation of the art- well-intentioned, but futile.

Am I the only one who finds it ironic that Hudlin has little understanding of the Panther's character, yet insists on an exact recreation of his own run on the title?

It looks like some sort of Internet flash animation more than a tv cartoon IMO

I like the animation, but the dialogue is disappointing.

It looks sweet!! This is the type of animation, I think, we need more of. Kinda' like The Maxx and The Amazing Screw-on-Head.

Unfortunate more than ironic. What I wouldn't give for a SSM-style cartoon of Priest's BP. That, to me, is the definitive Black Panther.

The Maxx only perfectly replicated panels like in this style at times, like when Mr. Gone and the Maxx were grappling. Other times, it tried to give the comic fluid motion. This doesn't even boast that. It's all stiff panel-for-panel ripoffs.

That's how the dialogue was in the first BP comic this is based on. When I first read it I was like "who wrote this" and had to look at the credits.

Could someone youtube it or something, the site isn't working for me at all.

The animation was not so great... but I could deal with it, if the actual drawings were better... Make it look like Samurai Jack with distinct lines and dramatic proportion, then I can deal with the moving panels...

But the drawings were pretty weak in general. "The Batman" 2004 TV series (animated) would be just right for BP.

Oh, I couldn't dissagree more with you here. I thought the drawings looked quite a bit like John Romita Jr's come to life.

I hate that type of animation(reminds me of minoriteam). Makes it seem like some joke. And the acting seemd subpar(maybe it was camera).
You'd think with all BETs money, they'd do something epic with the animation like Afro Samurai or Cowboy Bebop. Or at least send it off to some studio in Japan and have them match JRjr's style but more fluidly. Who wants to bet this is gonna bomb?

So you liked it??? I didn't... Romita's artwork or not.

This doesn't look half as bad as you guys made it seem.
I thought it was going to be like the old Thor cartoons.

I like the Romita look, but am not a fan of the non-fluid animation itself.

WOW that was WHACK!!!!First off 8000 BC and the guy is saying "Stay cool."
Animation WHACK!!!!!!Man I feel bad for Black Panther why is it that Marvel is always taking the cheap way out. They have this attitude like:
"Oh well it's going to suck anyway."I have to give it to DC on that respect they have always put top dollar, class act, writing and animation to their pieces.I hated the 60's animation then and I still hate it now!!!It's just cheap animation.
What is with this 800 Bc stuff??Anyway Why so far back????
Stay cool, stupid just stupid those are american terms no one in Africa says that even now!!!How would they know that term especially 8000 Bc years ago.Next it will be "YO CHILL OUT!!!"
