Should they use Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" anywhere in the movie/trailer?? Maybe just have Stark humming the tune.

In the movie maybe, but not the trailer.

No.

No. That song has nothing to do with Ironman except the name, why can't people understand this. It's not even that good of a song to begin with (though it was one of the first ones I decided to learn to play on my guitar).

Of course they should the song- though not in the trailer. Geezer Butler (wrote the lyrics) has been an ardent sci-fi and comic fan and was certainly influenced by the character.

Let me just this is just great news all around! Hooray for Iron Man the Movie:up:

Cosidering it's about a former hero who now goes around killing people and spreading fear into those he once saved, I don't think it would be appropriate. A cameo, maybe, someone driving by with it playing. Nothing other than that.

Don't be dissing the dark lords of rock.

I'd like to hear it in a teaser trailer, but not in the film, they don't even have to use much of the song, and yes we all know it has nothing to do with Iron Man the hero, but it would stick in the minds of audience and thats what movie makers want, its recognizable and its called Iron Man, nuff said.

I can picture hearing the song in a trailor, but maybe not for the movie. I dunno. I personally like the song by Black Sabbath, but I guess I can see how the lyrics in the song wouldn't fit for the movie. I wish there was a way to just have the song be part background (no verses), and the chorus just remain the same. Or maybe a good clip of the song for 30 seconds or something. What do you guys think of that idea?

It has nothing to do with the Marvel character but it would be a neat touch to have a scene with Tony Stark busy doing something out of costume while listening to the Iron Man song.

Meh, maybe on the OST or something.

There's no way they won't put it on one of those "related but not in the movie" soundtracks if they make one.

But then, it would probably be a cover by a nu-metal band.

Or some Ska band.

best thing they could do if they use it would be having the intro during the beginning of a tv spot

cut it off at the "i am...IRONMAN" when they show his face

they cut to the fast pace tv spot music as we see him fly around and ****

thats if they use it

which they shouldn;t

If it were 1997, Reel Big Fish would definitely be doing it. But nowadays Nu-Metal is the thing.

(That better not have been a jab at ska. I like ska )

Maybe in a bar scene?

That's what I was thinking. It would be cool to have it as background music in a club, or as he's driving around in his car. It would be a great song for a moment in the beginning of the film if the try to make Tony seem like this super rich big playboy living the fast life.

One of the greatest songs ever, and though it has nothing to do with Tony I still think of him when I hear it, and yes it should be in the movie somehow, but no covers, only by Sabbath!

And to anyone who said something bad about the song, go F yourself!

when i was playing nemesis the other day as iron man, he came onto the screen and was like I....am Iron man. and thought that if there were a trailer it would be good to have the heavy guitar part after him saying that.

Having the classic Iron Man song in the movie would be incredibly cheesy but I still wouldn't have any problems with it being played somewhere in the movie.

Speaking of which, did anybody catch one of the early episodes of George Lopez at the closing credits when George requested the song to that Mexican band? Now that was hilarious.

Has he lost his mind?
Can he see or is he blind?
Can he walk at all,
Or if he moves will he fall?
Is he alive or dead?
Has he thoughts within his head?
We'll just pass him there
why should we even care?

He was turned to steel
in the great magnetic field
Where he travelled time
for the future of mankind

Nobody wants him
He just stares at the world
Planning his vengeance
that he will soon unfold

Now the time is here
for Iron Man to spread fear
Vengeance from the grave
Kills the people he once saved

Nobody wants him
They just turn their heads
Nobody helps him
Now he has his revenge

Heavy boots of lead
fills his victims full of dread
Running as fast as they can
Iron Man lives again!

Now I like the song, but I don't think the lyrics set a proper tone for the film.

Know it's been a while but I gotta say for the record that I COMPLETELY AGREE ANYONE WITH ANYTHING BAD TO SAY RE: BLACK SABBATH TUNE SHOULD GO F**** THEMSELVES! to that. also today(s) YOUNGERBLOOD!! generation needs to stop MISINTERPRETERING LYRICS (trying to change etc) 'cause what the song really says is "When He Was Turned to Steel in the BRIGHT!! magnetic field" "When He Travelled Time for The Future of Mankind" "Nobody want's him he just stares at the world" "Planning His Vengance WAITING FOR IT TO UNFURL" also the song does not REPEAT DOES NOT SING ABOUT HIM KILLING ANYONE THAT PART OF THE MUSIC HAS BEEN MISINTERPRETED SO F****** MUCH THAT IT MAKES MY (NEW?) MUTANT! BLOOD "PERKALATE" re: older coffee makers it ACTUALLY goes like this "Heavy sheet(s) Full Of Lead FILLS HIS VICTIMS FULL OF DREAD!!!":p and don't give me or anyone ABOVE the age of "Thirty Five" (or bother posting) any of that new age neo let's just say "Stand Up Philosopher" (pardon French) QUITE LITERALLY for saying this but this is making me   enough to state that all this new age "Stand Up Philosophy" re: lyrical PERVERSION is for the record "SHAL* 'DE MA**" aka BS! that's right folks BULL****!!. I would have an easier time following that if it were broken up into paragraphs and had less commercials in it. Thanks.
