I love her look there.
The solo film starts filming next month right?
Does it? I don’t know but I really hope they give her a great film with close quarters action on par with TWS.
I would've liked to have seen those shots of her shown in the trailer included in the movie
I think so, yeah, at least as far as I know.
I think they started filming on May 1st.
Wonder if they're filming this one in Atlanta again, what with all the controversy going on atm... probably much too late to move production though
I saw rumors they would start filming in London.
The one where she's shown at a shooting range and another where she's sitting outside on a bench in the rain. Just wondering if it was to show more of how she was mourning, coping and dealing with everything.
Eh, the rednecks down there pushed through a really awful anti-choice bill, and now a lot of people are calling for the film industry to boycott
Oh right those, yes I wish they kept them too.
I'm so slow. I had already moved on the the Taliban in Alabama.
I agree with most of her points, but I think they boil down to two other problems:
1. Scarlett Johansson plays her 'action girl' roles too wooden. She's not bad, but she doesn't have the charisma and presence of a Hayley Atwell or Emily Blunt. I think other actresses like the ones I just named can match the acting chops of Downey/Evans/Hemsworth a bit better.
2. As far as Avengers stories go, Black Widow just isn't 'main female lead' material. Don't get me wrong, they did a phenomenal job with her, and she was the obvious go-to if you couldn't initially use Janet or Carol. But I don't think she ever worked as a substitute for Jan's heart or Carol's presence. Conceptually, she's exactly what the article says she is: a spy who prefers to operate in the background, keep things to herself, and adapt based on the situation.
I find her more charismatic than Hayley Atwell and Scarlett is commanding as Black Widow. She wouldn't land so many movie roles after all these years if she lacked presence, and she's definitely better in acting than Chris Evans.
As for Black Widow getting a solo movie, there's only few/handful of Marvel women that warrants a solo movie as the comics is a male dominated universe. However, Black Widow received her solo run in the comics and she's been around in the movies for so long, that she deserved to get a solo film.
ON BLACK WIDOW AND THE EXPENDABILITY OF CHILDLESS WOMEN
NATASHA’S “SACRIFICE” SENDS THE DETESTABLE MESSAGE THAT THE ONLY VALUE THAT CHILDLESS WOMEN HAVE TO OUR LARGER SOCIETY IS IN DEATH.
A tribute to the MCU's Black Widow:
See you all in a minute
I wonder if the body disappears on Vormir because soul stone magic, or if it remains at the bottom of the mountain? If it was the latter there's no reason why they couldn't borrow the Benatar and some Pym particles to bring Nat's body home. Clint stealing his son's baseball glove didn't implode reality.
Scarlett is wonderful, she was great at Endgame. Her death was one of the MCU's worst choices.
How do you know it wasn't mutual?
Well it's actually quite remarkable that Scarlett Johansson began in Iron Man 2 as a set up for The Avengers. And now she's not only had a remarkable character arc, but now we're getting a solo film next year .
Also her fights we're unique and different with the exception of her signature move the widow maker
I dont feel like she's really had a remarkable character arc. I think shes been fairly consistent and I dont think she's had alot of growth or character development since her debut.
