Black Widow News and Speculation Thread

How lovely! I just got back from Norway. Beautiful part of the world. Funny time to film though, outside of winter. I’m sure they’ll be fine

Nice maybe we get an opening montage of her perched upon a fjord to make a shot.

Her er verdsstjerna på Slettedalshjørnet

I saw a video of her on set: it almost looked like she had the Endgame braids.

Yeah I've seen some more photos since and she definitely looks like she has Endgame hair. I still think they're gonna somehow bring her back. Maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part because I was gutted she died.

No, I kind of think you’re right. They’re clearly no making any attempt to de-age her, and the hairstyle is basically the same as in Endgame, which doesn’t make any sense for a prequel. And is it a coincidence that she’s in Norway, home to New Asgard? I’m beginning to wonder if she was brought back by Bruce’s snap and is living undercover. We see her in these new photos in a normal outfit, buying food at a grocery store - she doesn’t look or act like old Natasha, but definitely like Endgame Natasha.

I thought she was brought back by Bruce's snap the moment he said to Cap at the end of Endgame - quite randomly - that he really tried to bring her back. It felt really out of place when he said it. Maybe he brought her back, but on Vomir where she died. Conveniently there was a ship left for her to use in order to get home...

What ship? The Guardians clearly have the Benatar back at the end of Endgame, so Clint obviously shrunk it down and brought it back with him as promised.

I don't think it's random at all that Bruce mentioned that he tried to bring her back. He was especially upset when she died. Plus he was literally staring at the stone Natasha died for, while explaining to Cap to return the stones exactly at the moment they were taken.

Even if she was alive somehow, there's no reason why she'd hide that from Clint and let her closest friend torment himself with survivor's guilt.

Hmmm... I thought Hawkeye and Widow kept the ship for some reason after leaving Nebula and Rhodey. I only saw Endgame once so I probably missed that. It's all sort of a blur now.

For me, it felt strange for Bruce to mention trying to bring her back. He could have said anything. He could have just said "damn I miss Nat". For me, it felt pointed.

Maybe she's not hiding by choice. Perhaps she's stuck on Vomir seeing as she doesn't have a ship after all!

I don't necessarily think I'm right but you can't write off Natasha's resurrection just yet.

I'd be pretty disappointed if this isn't a prequel at this point. It would lessen Endgame for me big time.

This is not her Endgame hair. I also seriously doubt she's alive post-Endgame. Why are you guys doing this to yourselves?

That looks closer to her Endgame hair than any other hairstyle we’ve seen her in. It looks nothing like her hair in Civil War, for sure, or her iconic short hairstyle. To be clear, I still expect the majority of the movie to be prequel, but I think she’s coming back.

I still believe this movie takes place pre-Iron Man. It doesn't have to look like any hairstyle we've seen from her in that case.

There’s no blonde on the ends. It’s not Endgame hair.

Also the Endgame results are what we are going to live with. We aren’t getting her in the present anymore. Unless they pull her from an alternate universe like whatever is going on in the Spider-Man Sequel.

I’m glad to see Scarlett so excited to be back in action

Everytime Marvel Studios starts filming something, like a first film for someone else, there's still a part of me, that can't believe that its happening like there's really gonna be a Black Widow film. I can't wait to see it. Also better late than never.

Me, personally, I would be fine with the results of Endgame, but I just don’t think they’re permanent, and I think there’s a lot of story they could still do with Black Widow. I would be beyond happy to see her return in the present, of course, but not just because I’m sad about what happened: more important, I think she was cheated of a lot of opportunities. But yeah, at the moment, I’m looking at these images and thinking post-Endgame. The hair, the casual outfit, the sorrowful facial expression, her settling into a normal life and routine. This looks like Natasha is alive, but her death has changed her drastically, and maybe she’s decided to isolate herself. And, obviously, I’m probably totally wrong, but that’s just what I’m thinking right now.

Random, spurt-of-the-moment thought - I saw this video of female athletes partaking in freerunning/parkour and now I wish they'd incorporated that in Widow's stunt repertoire.

Obviously it's something that a professional stunt performer would have to do, but it would highlight how capable Widow is without needing superpowers. The opening chase scene in Casino Royale is one of my favourite actions scenes ever.

Yeah, I'd bet the farm she isn't coming back. The new look in question is simply meant to give her a slighter younger appearance for obvious reasons.

It doesn't look like Endgame hair. As for the de-aging, all that would be done in post anyway, so there would not necessarily be anything to see on set in that regard that would tip us off. Me personally, I don't think it is post-Endgame. I would also prefer it not to be. You cannot just bring everyone who dies back to life. These movies have to have stakes, and yes that doesn't necessarily characters have to die to get there but when you make the choice to kill a character, then it should stick. When you bring back every dead character, then life/death are meaningless.

Is there a Chance Marvel lied to us all the time About being a prequel?
I mean if they didnt say that every one would complain About Nats arc in EG
