From reading the previews over at Marvel homesite, it looks like Johnny Blaze is GH again? How did that happen, and if that's the case where's Dan Ketch gone off to? And is this another one of those cases where Marvel is again trying to pimp there charcaters to more closely resemble how, what and who they will be in the upcoming movies...?

i.e. Changing the X-Men's uniforms in the comics to tie in with the black leather they wore in the movies.

Blaze became the Ghost Rider again way back in 2001, in the horrid "Hammer Lane" mini-series by Devin Grayson and Trent Kaniuga. So far, no explanation was given as to how or why this happened. As for the Dan Ketch/Noble Kale version of Ghost Rider, he hasn't been seen 1999's Peter Parker: Spider-Man # 93.

Why are there three of these threads?

What was Dan's role in PPSM# 93? Does Spider-Man know that Ketch is or was Ghost Rider?

Peter Parker: Spider-Man # 93 - this should give you all the info you need for that issue, WW. :word:
That was an interesting read, but it's left me with more reason to believe in what I origianlly stated... I don't think it has to do so much with continuity of the GR story or the behind the scenes stuff at Marvel really. Just that Marvel must be pimping out JB as GR to tie in with the movies! I see like this... DK was already free of the curse then in PPSM# 93 they merge again. Just to have JB show up as GR later? This so obvious :cwink:

once again, Johnny became GR again way back in '01...and also, Dan Ketch sucked compared to Blaze, who I am very glad to have back

Johnny Blaze IS Ghost Rider.....................This comic RULEZ........... Dan who? Ghost Rider Live 4 Ever

And Actually, I don't think Nick Cage looks like Johnny Blaze in what I've seen???????????????????? Ghost Rider yeah This comic RULEZ !!!!!!!!

Cage does look like Blaze, just without the blonde hair

Michael Keaton didnt look like Bruce Wayne either...even his portrayal was slightly different than the comics. years later fanboys are saying Keaton was the ultimate Batman/Wayne.
looks arent everything for every comic book alter ego. as long as Cage takes his role seriously and pays attention to the basic character of J. Blaze im cool w/ it.

I like the long haired Blaze of the 90's, but this is the version that hooked me on JB. I had read the comics from the 70's and 80's, I was around 5 when the series ended the series. And it was more of a really cool comic, then I started reading more after JB showed up in the 90's version and come to find out that the JB GR was and will always be the better GR.:ghost:

I liked both, I really miss Dan Ketch / SOV though. I grew up reading that and I really hope they dont leave that in the dark, or worse yet, kill em off.
