BLM Protests Across The World

The optics are stupid, but, first off, I don't know exactly why they decided to do this and, second, I doubt this was a bunch of white people's idea. I'm willing to cut them some slack (while snickering loudly). I'd prefer this to being strongly and powerfully economy in the history of the world....and in the universe for that matter.

EDIT: I wouldn't have worn that because all those colors make me look stupid...(er).

I think they should’ve stuck with wearing it but the whole posing thing was too much. And I’m not even talking about the kneeling one. I’m taking about the one where they look like they want to be in some poster.
Yeah. It all screams photo op because of it. All this stuff is a fine balance. Any images from these situation can and usually will look like propaganda. Honestly, it probably doesn't help that Pelosi and Schumer, who just don't come off as genuine, lead all this. They just always look like they are performing.

I don't know how to feel about this idea being floated around:

On the one hand, it appeals to my inner 14 year old fan boy that so desperately wanted the fantasy of super heroes to be real.

On the other hand... I don't know... Feels like whenever fans lose sight of the differenc between what's fiction and what's real.

The symbolism, and the way that could be leveraged via imagery isn't lost on me though.

They are, but they are the leaders of the senate and house for their party. I would have gone the Nadler route and just said I have bad knees (don't know if that's why he stood, but noticed that).

That's one of the big issues with this rather dumb party.

The fact that people have to explain "defunding", to me, means we could pick a better word. This is going to be jumped on by Trumpers as an example of how radical socialism is going to plunge our country into utter chaos (okay, to channel Trump, "utterer chaos").

I definitely agree a better word could be picked, but I would also say there really isn't many words those barely intelligent enough to breathe would understand. If I am honest, it is less an issue of understanding, and more of willful ignorance. The messaging could be, "Make the Police Great Again", and they'd still have an issue.

I personally would take a lightsaber to block the rubber bullets.

MTPGA doesn't do it for me. It sounds like a showdown between Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods.

Forget them as they aren't changing their minds anyway. The term should be clear for those who still have a chance of voting Democrat and as of now aren't 100% guaranteed to turn up.

I would have gone with bone spurs myself.

He has used this line at at least three different places today. He is literally arguing that the citizens should have charged the police, who were armed with guns, to stop what was going on. Not the cop he is representing, who was "merely" pinning Floyd's legs.

What idiot is going to take on 4 armed cops when the whole point of these protests is how gung ho and reckless the cops have been when dealing with people.

I'm saving my replica only for the time that a 2nd Civil War ever erupts.
