How many of you guys have done it? I've done it once with MLB 07.

I was playing and I pulled my controller and my 360 fell on its side and I hear a loud scratching noise. Opened it up and I see a nice 3 ring circle scratch on my disc. Friend tells me to go to blockbuster and replace it. :woot:

I maybe a prick but it was my first 360 game.

Actually its idiots like you who complain about the 360 giving you problems and how Microsoft sucks and here you are with a wired controller with the 360 vertically standing. Thats just asking for a disaster.

Uh I've never complained about my 360 giving me problems and I love Microsoft so back the hell off.

And I like my 360 standing up.

Dick head.

So it actually works??? I need to replace COD2 Disc!! Too badly scratched up!!! It still play online but none of the single players campaign will work.

Yes it works. But dont send it back the same day, thats just asking for trouble.

You guys are *******s. That's exactly what I feel like doing when I rent a game from blockbuster, get home and find out that it's all scratched to **** cause some jackass like yourself switched it. Deal with the consequences of yanking your system to the floor like an idiot, and buy a new game. It's your own fault it fell.

lol

Well YOU can just go back to Blockbuster and say this games all messed up man and get the same game and play.

And I just got my damn 360 and wanted it to stand dammit!

:cmad:

And another thing look at the friggin disc before you leave. If you see a ring around the disc, it anit a pretty design.

I didn't say you specifically, I just said idiots like you. Seriously, you don't think having the 360 standing up with a WIRED controller hooked up to it isn't asking for an accident?

Yeah but I wanted the 360 to stand so it will stand, I wasnt expecting to pull on it anyway. Doesnt matter my 360 and game work. And I have Wireless controllers now.

Its just asking for trouble even if you don't have a wired controller hooked up to it. But hey, if you want to learn the hard way go ahead.

So because you're a jerk off, I have to drive to back to blockbuster to get a replacement? I shouldn't have to check the ****ing disc before I leave. You messed your game up because you dropped your system on the floor while playing a game, so you should go and buy a new one or pay EB to fix it. It's not Blockbusters fault, it's your own, so don't rip off a company because you're an idiot.

I have had pretty much every system imaginable. Every disc system since the PSX, and I have never scratched a disc. It's not that hard.

Yeah, it's pretty common knowledge that its best to have it lying flat. Better stability (as you found out) and supposedly the cooling is better.

And why didn't you go with the Premium version? You get soooo much for the difference.

I've always had it standing vertically. But that's mainly because I have to, not that I don't want to lie it flat to avoid problems. It's sitting in a entertainment center next to my Wii, so I can't really avoid standing it up.

Not that it really matters. It's protected on all sides by shelving and a glass window. So I really never saw the need to worry.

I stood my PS2 vertical when I first got it, because that was a cool new feature that it could do. And I really started to notice playing/loading issues and strange sounds coming from the disc tray. So I put it horizantal and it worked fine.

I just can't see how the disc is secured into the system when it's standing vertical.

Plus the side that would be the bottom of the 360 when it's standing up, has a good amount of air blowing out if it, much more then the sides/ top bottom (horizantal). So I'd rather have more breathing room than more shelf room.

I keep mine vertical and it works fine...although there's no chance of it falling down, as I have wood on the bottom of each side to keep it up...

ive done it but i actually did it with the fight night rd 2 demo disc and switched for the real game and got a free rental because they didnt have another

Wow. This thread has some exposed nerves everywhere.

Only a low life would do someting like that.

Only an indecisive low-life would look for on-line encouragement beforehand.

Well, good for you then.

And come on, blockbustering it is just a dick move.

god some people need to chill

Why? Because when we break something of ours we take responsibility for it and buy a new one? We don't get a new one then return the broken one and screw someone over.

I still can't belive this idiot yanked his 360 off of where it was and onto the floor. What the hell were you doing with your hands? I'd hate to find out what this guy would do if his 360 broke.
