Brightlight Pictures announced today that Natassia Malthe (DOA: Dead Or Alive , Elektra) will star in Uwe Boll's BloodRayne 2. Released on DVD earlier this year through Visual Entertainment, BloodRayne marked the first time a theatrical release was packaged with the complete original PC game which inspired it.

In the BloodRayne 2 movie , as in the game, only Rayne, born of the unnatural union of vampire and human, stands between an unsuspecting humanity and a horrifying vampire dawn. The screenplay is written by Christopher Donaldson and Neil Every.

In addition to the "BloodRayne" franchise, Brightlight Pictures and Uwe Boll have partnered on a number of features, directed by Boll, including House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark and the upcoming Postal, Seed and In the Name of the King: A
Dungeon Siege Tale, starring Jason Statham, John Rhys-Davies, Ray Liotta , Leelee Sobieski and Burt Reynolds.

"'BloodRayne 2' marries the vampire, action and Wild West genres, and we are very excited that this movie is going to innovate a fantastic new look," says Brightlight Pictures' Shawn Williamson.

"I’m excited to do a sequel to 'BloodRayne' and this time in the Wild West. I'm a big fan of Sergio Leone and John Ford," says Uwe Boll.

Damn.
All these crap movies by Boll and another BloodRayne?
More wasted time, wasted money, wasted film, and more...

:down :down :csad:

why do actual talented actors even consider appearing in a Boll movie?? It just boggles my ****ing mind

There's only one word to say......... YES!!!!!!!

I Kid I Kid. I've never even saw the first bloodrayne.

Awesome. Sounds great.

...for me to poop on.

LMAO, I guess he never learned anything from Ford.

The guy must be doing something right if he gets a sequel greenlit

I don't know what that is..

wait wait wait, Natassia Malthe, is it true, might we see her naked

I guess BloodRayne 2 will have one good thing about it.

Eye Candy. :D

I wonder if the gore/blood effects will improve? The NC-17 (unrated) cut of Bloodrayne was bloody...but looked fake.

Well, Ben Kingsly, for example, is so well established as being a brilliant actor that he can afford to do terrible movies, which he probably does for fun.

I would totally watch a Postal movie. And if it has Gary Coleman, it will be a must-see.

You'd have to wonder why Brightlight Pictures keeps funding Boll's projects and why these actors/actresses even are in films?Do they not know about his crappy films? :o

I am guessing Uwe Boll's main occupation is blackmailer.

Like I said before, he gets actors AT THE LAST MINUTE, when they're in between projects.

Uwe Boll : Hey Ben Kingsley, you're off for a few months in between legit projects. Want to work on a shoot for a few weeks for a nice little paycheck? You can buy some hookers or an Xbox 360 with it. EZ moneeeeeey!
Ben Kingsley : Ok.

He is like a modern day Ed Wood...but GETS work. So interesting.

y'know, western vampires could've been awesome... were it not Boll in the director's seat.

Wasn't he supposed to direct Far Cry?...if he joined again with Stephen Dorf and casts him as Jack Carver...I'd go see it. That game rocked! Uwe's movies don't.

Why does this guy feel that he HAS to make movies based on video games?

I wonder why Kristanna Loken ain't doing it...
