Thanks Nose

I have both HD-DVD and Blu-ray. So I'm kinda "meh" about it.

But.. But.. The Porn is gonna be blu.. your gonna be able to see every Herpes mark.. and its gonna rock.

I don't bother to watch Hi-Def Porn. That's ******ed.

Hd-dvd should have won . That is the truth of the matter. I also agree with what someone said earlier that high defintion isn't such a big change that it would convert everyone . I see downloading movies on the internet as being the next big change.

To be honest, I think downloading movies (legally) from the internet will be the winner. It's cheaper, and with more and more people getting access to high-speed internet connections, it makes sense.

I see film making a big comeback. Silent even...Charlie Chaplin is gangsta.

They'll resurrect his corpse using Blu-ray technology.

How is it that "HD-DVD" should have "won"? It has less storage space then Blu-Ray..

Like that's what it came down to.

"Well son. I went with Blu-ray for the home because it has twice as much storage space. It was a tough decision to make."

"Damnit, dad. I hate you! :cmad:"

It came down to Blu-ray movies outselling HD-DVDs 3-1, along with players 2-1.

I was unaware of that . However I hear that Blue ray is still involved in tweaking their systems and product.

Blu-ray is still incomplete, in-terms of their PiP features and web capabilities, whereas HD-DVD was all-set from the getgo with their features.

I know, but the Storage Space is an added bonus, you can fit two times the **** onto Blu Ray than you could an HD DVD.. a Blu Ray double layer is 50 GB, Can you imagine 50 GB of porn?

The point is: Sales determined this war, not a simple storage statistic.

It might have helped, but it didn't influence people's purchases that much.

Also, it helped that Sony's PS3 had a built in Blu-Ray player that actually played in Hi-Def rather than having to buy one separate and attach it to your system just to watch a Hi-Def movie in Standard Def.

That's false. You can watch HD-DVD movies in 1080p if you have the right TV. Along with 1080i, 720p, etc.

In my area I feel that blue ray was promoted better than hd-dvd. At best buy i would see on hd-tv advertising hd-dvd and there would be three other tv's advertising blue ray .

LOL Blades of Glory !!! Are you ****in kiddiing me!!!
