We don’t have much to confirm, but we have it on good authority that Universal is preparing a Blu-ray Disc release of the recent Edward Norton film The Incredible Hulk on 25 November. There are rumors that there are upwards of an hour of additional scenes reincorporated into this high-def release, but again, it’s all conjecture at this point. Stay tuned.

I hope this rumor is TRUE. Let's keep our fingers cross and hope for an Awesome DVD Release. *crosses fingers* :woot:

for what it's worth, amazon Germany has the Blue-ray, the DVD and the special edition DVD listed for Nov. 26.

Gotta start saving up again! I want to get this DVD exactly when it comes out!

I hope the normal DVD release has all of the deleted scene's added back in as well, otherwise i probably wont buy it.

No it's not conjecture and no there won't be a longer cut--at least not for now.And the sept. Blu-ray release is for the ang lee version.
Likely Nov for the reboot.

A film or video, together with associated trailers may exist in several versions and all versions known to the BBFC are listed below.

The times are shorter by about 4% because the british system is 25 FPS for video.

So their 42 minutes of deleted scenes will be about 44 in our (US) format.

There is also a @3 minute scene in a separate disc section entitled:
Alternate opening (the Arctic scene)

So a total of 47 minutes of deleted scenes (not 70 as hoped) and NO longer 'Norton Cut'----at least for the first release.

As you can see the deleted scenes section DOES include all the 'character' scenes often mentioned as being in the 'Norton cut'

They have a listing for a commentary that runs with the movie as well.
But the length of the film is exactly the same as the theatrical version when you adjust for the faster Frames Per Second system they use.

At least we will see the deleted scenes and judge if they should have been left in.

.

Oh man...if this is true :( I may have to buy a blue-ray player.

I notice the arctic scene isn't listed there...

So regular DVD won't have as much win as Blu-Ray?

That listing I posted is for the British release..............

99% of the time, the features are the same for USA.

I'd be absolutely stunned if BOTH the regular DVD as well as the Blu-ray did not contain the above deleted scenes.

Since the Blu-ray discs are a lot more expensive, it'd be nuts to think they wouldn't be on that release.

I don't recall if Universal does the one-disc vs deluxe two disc thing on their standard DVD releases (as Paramount is doing with Iron Man), but considering that the movie wasn't a huge hit I think they'd want to include the deleted scenes to bump sales for the title on a one-disc release.

I wouldn't mind if it's in November (IM in Sept, Indy in Oct, Hulk in Nov & maybe TDK in Dec) but the sooner it comes out the better.

Ive seen on some site where it wa scheduled for a Sept 16th release. If i find the link i will post it.Has anyone heard of any other date besides Nov?

september 16 is the release of the 2003 hulk movie.

Jacob

growl...

They need to have an option on the DVD where you can change the Hulk's color from green to gray.. give a nod to us Fixit fans, doggone it..

Will definitely be picking thiis one up along with Iron Man for my Blue Ray.

So it's 47 minutes instead of 70? Wtf?

Leterrier had said we would see 70 minutes of cut footage on Blu-Ray and as much as they can fit on DVD as a Blu-Ray disc can hold much more data than a DVD disc. But it seems to me that we will only see 47 minutes of cut footage on Blu-Ray and DVD cos Leterrier wanted and said a lot of things but the thing is the final decision is Marvel's and despite Leterrier being so enthusiastic, Marvel may have said no to his idea of putting everything that was filmed on disc.

Leterrier shouldn't have said anything untill he was sure that it was okay with Marvel.

I think some folks are over-reacting to the 47 vs 70 minutes thing.

When he said '70 minutes' he may have been thinking the time of the rough cut vs the theatrical cut (183 minutes vs. 113)

a movie can be 'tightened' by many many minutes just by cutting very short dialogue exchanges and reaction shots etc.
That's the first thing they do after the rough cut---
they take out the stuff that doesn't work at all and lots of reaction shats and so forth.
That's stuff very hard to showcase in a 'deleted section'---too minute and out of context.

Then comes the hard cuts....
subplots, character scnes etc.
That's the stuff we'll see in the Blu-ray/DVD deleted section.

Remember that the 'Norton cut' was said to be about 2 hr 15 min (135 min)---so we'll see that 22 minutes or so of stuff PLUS almost a half hour of stuff that niether Norton, Lerterrier, or Marvel wanted in.

Bottom line.... 47 minutes is a shi...boatload of deleteds.

Remember this isn't alternate takes or extended scenes (save one), BUT entirely cut scenes.
