Okay - So Jennifer's mom is definitely Fire, right? As far as I remember, her and Ted never paired up in the comics, but given they specifically said she's Brazillian and Jenny's comments about her inspiring Ted to become a hero, I definitely think that's where this is going. Especially considering Nathan Fillion being cast as Guy Gardner in Superman: Legacy.

It's starting to look like Gunn is adapting some sort of the JLI as being the "old guard" of heroes in his universe, which honestly makes perfect sense given his sense of humor that he'd be a fan of that run.
