I just saw the episode. It's great to see Spidey back in action and all the others surrounding him.
As for Mysterio, I found him annoying at times, funny at others, and silly at some. I think the 90's series Mysterio was way more menacing and interesting. But it was a cool episode. Kudos to Stan Lee.
Looking forward to Kraven, now.

That episode was amazing. Definitely a great season premiere. Does anyone know if the Kraven episode runs next week? Sunday again? Was there a preview for next week's? That'd be nice to see, or at least hear a description.

Thanks for that. It was a good episode. A little goofy in a couple of parts, but overall good. I've always loved Mysterio. One of my favs.

I hope we're not going to have a whole season of Peter and Gwen being tongue tied around eachother. I'd hate for it to drag out.

Regarding the Master Planner, if you read the voice cast in the credits, Peter MacNicol, the voice actor for Doc Ock, did the Master Planner's voice. So yay, looks like that confirms it's Doc Ock. I am pleased. These guys are staying true blue to the comics.

Anyway, I give the episode 7/10.

I never cared much for Mysterio and this ep helped very little. I raised an eyebrow when all his duplicates turned out to be robots (henchmen are so pricey) but I susPended my disbelief because I'll buy that Lexington, er, the Tinkerer builds just about anything and it's what he's good at.

But then at the end, when we learn the "real Mysterio" was an android...ugh. It took me back to the ridiculously scifi asPect of the 90s series I hated so much.

Still, lots of great stuff in this episode from Fat sPidey to Liz "God, I'm so hot for you" Allen.

Since Doc Ock was the mastermind behind Mysterio's antics in this episode, I wonder will he be pulling the new Sinister Six's strings as the Master Planner, too.

I hope so. I don't like any version of the Sinister Six that is not affiliated with Ock as the leader.

The Master Planner arc is REALLY getting good...I almost can't wait a week after waiting for SO long. And the way Master Planner talks just reveals who it is (I hope), and with Mysterio in the new Sinister Six (if that fight tops the original incarnation OH MY GOODNESS), it has to be Master Planner pulling the strings as Mysterio is his henchman.

Also, when did Beck Swich out with an android that looks like him? Was it when Spider-Man left and the cops arrived? When unmasked Mysterio pulls himself up he is missing a glove.

I wonder if Ock will be dressed idfferent this time around? I mean, he was dressed different when we first saw him as the Master Planner in the comics, if I remember correctly.
