Yes, that is such a good paint job, it is awesome.

(you said awefull, not awful :P)

Dang...I that'd make a GREAT display for a manequin,etc. Or mabye a realy good mask....LOL. :oldrazz:

Looks amazing, although I'm not sure why he made the red drip down to the chin. Besides that, this is basically perfect.

i mean, it's not Awful but the only thing i didn't like was the red down the the chin! but other than that it is amazing

He was probably basing it off the interrogation scene make up.

Man that is amazing.
I'd be scared to have one in my house incase it came to life! XD
Though it would be awesome to have a talking joker bust in your house - we could solve mysteries! =D

Ok... weirdness aside, I'd love to see one of those for myself. Looks like an awesome job. I wonder how it was made.

Starts from a sculpture. just clay. Usually plastic inexpensive eyes are used in the clay. then a mold is made of the clay sculpt. a silicone skin is produced from the mold, and then face paint, and punched in hair. one by one.
I noticed that on the ledger makeup, througout the movie it changes here and there. Sometimes it gets more messed up, other scenes less so. Also everyone's face is always in a constant state of change. A certain thought will change a persons face. So you get the likeness to a point, then go for the realism. Selling that it isn't a pair of plastic eyes, and rubber skin is the goal. To the extent that you think it's really him, we succeed. In the opposite direction we fail.

The eyes are made of win. They look like if you touched them they would be wet and REAL, same with the lips.

what type of hair is used on these items? Is the silicone pull filled with something to keep the shape of the head, or is it thick enough to hold its own shape?

well you first brush in layers of rubber, then when you think you got it thick enough, you brush in fiberglass, let it set up. now you got an "armature" that keeps the rubber(silicone) true to the shape of the sculpture. The reason for silicone, is that it has a bit translucency, like human flesh, and with a special needle, you can punch in the hairs so they look like they are coming right outa the head. extremely tedious process. whole thing is.
That's why I stick to cars lol.
