I don't think the Company would die if Bob was no longer around. They could easily have another one of the Original 12 step in and take over. Supposedly most of them are dead already, but that would be a simple fix for the writers.

The reason the company would die and nobody else could just step in, is because Bob is the reason they have the finances to be some secret underground organization, if Bob died how would The Company beable to last when the man who can turn anything to gold dies.
