The Dark Knight BOF: Bale speaks

He's got more to say about Nolan in that interview.

So has the British actor hung up his Bat Wings for good? Not at all. He has two films lined up first, including James Mangold's remake of the western classic "3:10 to Yuma," and then Bale and Nolan will collaborate next year on "The Dark Knight."

It was Nolan's commitment to the second feature that lured Bale back to the cave. "I wouldn't have wanted to do a 'Batman' that was going down the old road," he says. "I would not have wanted to be involved in that at all."

And it may not be mindblowing news, but it still involves A Batman actor discussing future movies. Stop being rude!

Sorry, but was I rude? I just thought I had heard about this some time ago.

Like I said, it´s not terribly new, but it has a couple interesting bits.

Yeah u were a tiny bit - I'm sure you didn't mean it.

I agree with Bale on this, Batman franchise needed a reboot.

No offense, but this sorta sounds like little more than Bale repeating the company line.

Not that it's a bad line to repeat or anything. :o

Bale is absolutely right, we now need another take, to repeat what Tim Burton made, even if I love his take on Batman, but this would be a mistake.
And Schumacher was a mistake by itself.

He is talking about the storyline and structure of the script. So everyone should be prepared for a movie that is nothing like a comic book adaptation movie but resembles the comics disected and concentrated.

Like a detective movie instead of action.

lol... it's funny how you jump to conclusions...

Im for quality and creativity and Im not even gonna go ballistic if its not from the comics, home videos,Cartoon network or kidsWB versions Ive seen. I like to be entertained and surprised.

This is the best comment I heard about the sequel(s) so far.

We don't need this series of Batman movies to eventually end up where the last ones did with a 'Batman and Robin' type "camp" movie.

I glad Bale has some integrity about making the sequels in the same manner as 'Begins'.

I could've sworn Bale said the same thing over a year ago.

Well, maybe he went back in time he said the same thing.

That's the only explanation, I think. Him being Bale and all.

i dont think Bale would've had much choice on the matter even if Nolan didnt return. didnt he say on that Charlie Rose program that when he signed up for BB he mocked twisted his arm to say that WB wanted to make sure he was avaialable for the sequels? it was also on that show that Bale was so anxious to find out if Nolan would commit to the second movie, and back then Nolan didnt want to give a straight answer.
