I've always been fascinated by the idea of Atlantis, and the other lost civilizations; Lemuria, Mu etc. What are some good books based on these Myths? :yay:

Sorry, I've never read any but I think it's fascinating, too. If you come up with some I hope you'll tell me. :)

Fingerprints of the Gods by Graham Hancock was an interesting read.

The Atlantis Blueprint by Rand Flem-Ath and Colin Wilson.
Great read, very convincing and well put together.

I don't know too much about lost cities, but what about other historical conspiracy thoeries? There is a lot of interesting stuff out there about grail legend and the knights templar, even if barely half of it is true.

Erich van Daniken wrote a lot if interesting stuff in the 70's, based on his theory that ancient religions were based on visits from extraterrestrials. Most of his stuff was just CRAZY, but a good read nonetheless. I do recall reading about him exploring some mysterious tunnels that were discovered running throughout South America.

A good read is all I'm really concerned about. if you guys know of any novels with the citizens of Atlantis post those, too.

i've read A LOT of those  i like these kinds of books, whether true or not, as long as they're entertaining

^Yea. There is usually some amount of historical research put into them (like Holy Blood and the Holy Grail...some of thier sources are ok). But even the stuff that isn't true is fun. My favourite theory that came from one of these books (I think) is that the headquarters of the Free Masons or the New World Order or some society is underneath the Denver International Airport :lmao:

I want to read a good book about Pompeii.... Dunno if there is even such a thing out there. Maybe I'll write one!

i just read one that dealt with the volcanic eruptions at pompeii and herculaneum. i can't remember the title, i'll find it though. it starts off with a deep sea dig in the Mediterranean where they uncover an ancient vessel under a crevice in the water or something that was the ship the Apostle Paul got lost at sea on, etc. Then it also deals with them excavating the sites at Pompeii and Herculaneum and finding a preserved room that had a bunch of ancient scrolls, one of them written in Aramaic (a scroll written by Christ himself). of course you got those mystical societies that try to cover it all up and whatnot.

Whether true or not, it's an entertaining read. Not all the historical stuff is true I'm sure, but it's wound around enough to be fun and interesting as they cross the globe and uncover these artifacts. i've read better for sure, but i've read a lot worse

Yeah let me know, I loveeee pompeii
