The Dark Knight Booty-Water Ruins Action Scene

This sucks! Hopefully it will be just as good as it would have been outside, on set.

y'know, why even shoot in Hong Kong if they are not willing to go all out for production?

I just find it extremely amusing that they can complain about their lights when the harbour is a biologist's bacterial wet dream.

They should get the hell out of Hong Kong and never look back. Honestly... keeping the lights on for week isn't going to be a big deal, considering that cities drain a lot of power anyway. Way to whine about nothing. :whatever: IMO, they're just bitter that the whole world found out about their stanky water. lol.

Yet another snag in Hong Kong

http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/movies/1402AP_Hong_Kong_Batman.html

Now how can you complain about that after what happened with the Harbour fiasco?????

Keeping their lights on for a week and they're acting like a**holes about it. I have nothing against China at all, but they have nothing to be so arrogant about. This is Nolan, this is Batman. They can pony up 200 coins for the bill. They should consider it a big honor to even be a part of this movie, anyone else would. They just lost some major respect from me. :down

Maybe compromise for one night of shooting, to get as much footage as possible?
What a headache - the price of trying to shoot so much on location.
Hang in there, O Vested One!

at this point, I don't know what Nolan CAN do really. If 60 percent of the lights are on, then CGI the rest if he has to.

F Hong Kong!!!!! Nolan should just take his film crew and leave that sorry A** excuse of a city... That greenspeace spokesperson should be more worried about their disease infested harbor than leaving lights on in buildings.

Hey - i got an idea!!! Why doesn't the Chinese Gov't increase the price of their currency by 40% for the one week to help out with payments of the light bills. They seem to drop their currency rate everytime their Export tariffs get increased anyways!!!!! Sorry A** corrupt Gov't.

Communism and Socialism don't work...They sound good and look good, but are corrupt to the core...along with multinational corporations of all types...

The Chinese government is pretty messed up considering they have children falling out in their streets, they know it but won't help. But the same can be said for u.s. too. But yeah that's pretty f***ed to basicly spit in Nolan's face.

It already was. Mods helped in fixing that. So it won't be.

Wow, glad I missed that. I was more meaning outside the boards here but these guys always take it to the next level.

In any case, it's a shame that the HK shoot is going so badly. It would be great for HK and the whole region as a whole, TDK could have been a great bit of publicity for them and make more films want to come there. Well I hope the powers that be over there get on it and start trying to make some positive changes over there.

What is with the China obsession? In Begins he wanted the Narrows to look like chinese slums, now he's actually having scenes take place in Hong Kong.

I just don't understand how they thought sending Batman to China would be a good plot point. And now with everything falling apart over there, they should just rewrite it.

Haha, I just got done reading this article on my Nintendo Wii News. Sounded kind of cool though, jumping from the plane into the water. What kind of plane, though?

Possibly the Batwing....(wishful fanboy thinking)

well to be fair they arent asking them to leave on a few lights. Anyone who has been to Hong Kong(my ship just pulled into Hong Kong today) knows that HK has one of the most beautiful skylines. The lights they were asking to keep on would be very expensive.

I - I have nothing to say to that apart from why don't they film somewhere else?

Why not film it in Japan instead? They're better than Hong Kong. :oldrazz:
