Customs and Border Protection and a Texas hospital allegedly subjected a woman to repeated anal and vaginal cavity searches over a period of six hours without her consent and without a warrant, leaving her traumatized, according to a lawsuit filed in December. The hospital then allegedly sent the woman a bill for more than $5,000 after she refused to sign a consent form.

Over the course of the six hours, Defendants subjected Ms. Doe to a series of highly invasive searches, any one of which would have been humiliating and demeaning. First, government agents stripped searched [sic] Ms. Doe and made a visual and manual inspection of her genitals and anus. Finding nothing, Defendants next subjected her to an observed bowel movement. When that procedure yielded no evidence of drugs, Defendants X-rayed Ms. Doe. Having found nothing, Defendants next shackled Ms. Doe to an examining table and inserted a speculum into her vagina, performed a rectal exam on her, and conducted a bimanual cavity search of her vagina. Still not satisfied, Defendants subjected Ms. Doe to a CT scan and again found no evidence of drugs.

Though Defendants conducted these searches against the will of Ms. Doe and without her consent, the Medical Center billed Ms. Doe more than $5,000.00 for its "services."

The plaintiff, a U.S. citizen, asked the court to proceed anonymously due to the "highly personal and sensitive nature of the events."

This should be considered torture and they should be charged with torturing a US citizen.

That's extreme no matter the circumstances and to be billed for it is appalling. I'd sue everyone involved, the state, the hospital, the doctors involved and the department.

Hours of anal and vaginal cavity searches only with a nice dinner first, that's what I would say.

That is truly disgusting and dehumanizing. I hope that woman wins her case and those "agents" get jail time. ****ing gross.

Anyone who goes on and on about "government overreach" but is still fine with the "War on Drugs" is an obtuse cuss in my opinion, and if this is all true, then this would be my exhibit "A".

I understand why she wants to remain out of the spotlight, but id endure the spotligh for a year and take these bastards for all their worth.

"Whether or not this reflects a pattern of practice [at CBP] is not yet clear," the woman's attorney, Laura Schauer Ives, told The Huffington Post. "But that the agents felt emboldened to do this, I think, is telling."
This is what freaks me out the most, she was a US Citizen, imagine if she wasn't, the boldness of these Boarder Agents here suggests this might be a regular practice with detained Non-Citizens, which then just go unreported.

She just won the lawsuit lottery.
Lottery?:whatever:
I can't imagine any lottery win involving being handcuffed and essentially raped/tortured repeatedly.

And you just watch nothing will be done about it. Congress is all up A Rod's ass for performance enhancing drugs, but rape and torture of people at the border is perfectly acceptable as far as congress is concerned.

They're protecting the children... So you know... It's a free pass for violating another human being. We don't want people to get high now do we? Now let's all sit down and watch a beer commercial. :whatever:

Wtf?! forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=467981

Are these agents and hospital affiliated with the crazies in New Mexico?

Thats the second time this has happened, at least that Ive become aware of, and from a bordering state.

That a collection of sociopaths would be that close to each other and perform the same horrific crime is mind numbingly scary.

Im not sure why Eckert would only settle for 1.6 million for his ordeal since he should have been given way more, but I hope this woman gets at least 10x that amount.

It's just like that New Mexico case, which apparently these border agents had not heard about. The way they handled this alone is enough justification for her to win the suit, that New Mexico case should ensure she wins against them.

Good grief that's all I can say without getting a ban.:wall:

Sounds like sexual assault masquerading as drug enforcement.
