Well, here goes...
BOUGHT:
Beyond #1
Marvel Team Up #22
The Thing #8
Solo #11 featuring Sergio Aragones
Last Planet Standing #5
The Outsiders #38
Supergirl & the Legion of Super-Heroes #19
Jonah Hex #9
THOUGHT:
Thruth be told, all I read was Beyond #1 & The Thing #8, but since I'm reading this a day earlier than most of you, it was suggested that I start the thread.
The Thing #8: Great stuff.... The Thing and his poker games night. Obviously pre-Civil War, but lots of fun nonetheless. The characterization was pretty spot-on, and it's nice to see this series end on a high note for Ben (it shoulda lasted at least another 28 issues... ) The art was a bit shoddy, but it was still a pretty decent read. Highly recommended to all old school Marvel readers.
Marvel Team Up #22: I didn't read it yet because I just found out that I'm missing #21, which my LCS had to re-order. But I will say that the issue contains one of those long-forgotten Marvel trademarks... the small asterix referance which tells the readers where to look for the commented referance.
Beyond #1: This was pure gold to me.
The art was decent and above average. Kollins undeservedly receives bad flak for his style, but it really suits the earlt tone of this book. The writing flows nicely, though a bit choppy for a first issue with 9 characters in it. I know that what occurs in the book can't possibly be true, but it was still a great cliff-hanger that should grab you by the balls and wanting to read #2. This could be Marvel's sleeper hit of the year, and very appealing to Marvel readers in the 80's. Highly recommended.
Cheers...

And it looks like Titanus might be back sooner than we thought.

While I know very little of Gravity (other than he's Marvel's version of Invincible), the story is partial told in his narrative. After a quick battle with Brushfire, Gravity goes to check out the "big thing" in Central Park, which old readers will feel like it's 1984 all over again as I quickly recognized it as the arenas that took the Marvel heroes and villains to the Beyonder World back in Secret Wars. Once plucked (and revives from passing out), Gravity finds himself in deep space with Spider-Man, Mac Gargan Venom, Hank Pym, the Wasp, the Hood, Kraven the Hunter Jr., Firebird & Medusa. And it was nice of the Wasp to reference the "similar incident" that happened years ago. I like continuity and it appears to have not disappeared with the telling of this tale. Anyhoo, after a few scafuffles, a great voice screams "I AM FROM BEYOND!!! SLAY YOUR ENEMIES AND ALL YOU DESIRE SHALL BE YOURS! NOTHING YOU DREAM OF IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO ACCOMPLISH!!" The Hood seems to want to kill everyone, but then suggests he was kidding when he's quickly dismantled, but Gargan flips and goes after Spidey. Spider-Man gets him on the ground and tells him to cool off (as they have danced the dance many times as Spidey/Sorpion). But then Venom looks up and plunges a scorpion tale through Spidey's chest. Medusa runs to his aid, and Spidey tells her he loves her, obviously thinking she's Mary Jane. And then he apparantly dies in her arms. Venom screams to the skies "You hear that Beyonder? I slew my enemy! Give me what I deserve!!!"... to which Medusa, filled with rage, turns to Venom telling him he's going to get EXACTLY what he deserves.
