New Avengers- PICK OF THE WEEK! This whole arc has been great. The characterization's of The Sentry and Iron Man were terrific. I really enjoyed this issue. The retro cover was great, too. Red Ronin? How obscure! Also, Pasqual Ferry needs more regular Marvel work, because this was great. 9/10
Civil War: Choosing Sides- I liked this a lot. I enjoyed the US Agent story a lot more than I expected. I was hoping to see him fight Cap over in Civil War, but this is interesting. I'm always eager for more Killgrave. The Venom story was good, too. 9/10
Sensational Spider-Man- Very interesting ending. Chameleon might not have been beaten as badly as he was by MJ, but Aunt May proved she's sharper than ever. I liked that. I'm kind of wishing Peter stayed on the Pro-Registration side; the stories in this book are great and I'd love to see them continue. 9/10
Nextwave- Ellis, you rock. The FDR comment made me laugh my ass off, and Forbush Man and the Ultimates joke sealed the deal. Kudos. 9/10
Daredevil- Brubaker's crafting an interesting story. The opening was a little over-descriptive for my tastes, but the parts with Tombstone were good, and the ending left me wanting more. 8/10
Captain America- Really liked seeing Bucky's reaction to the Civil War. He's becoming a great character. His one-shot should be good. Also nice to see Nick working behind the scenes and being pro-active. The ending... very strange, but I can't wait to see more. 8/10
Ultimate Spider-Man- Marvel... what the ****? You put an advertisement right in the middle of a two-page spread? Anyway, it didn't seem like much happened, but it was pretty intense. I liked seeing the FF take Pete's side. That was unexpected, but not more so than the ending... 8/10
Justice- There is a LOT going on here. Fortunatly, it's not overwhelming like another massive DC story. Wow, Ralph Dibney sure came off dickish, here. There's a world threatening crisis and you're worried about your value to the team? I've always liked Plastic Man more, anyway. Batman had some great moments, and we got a great splash page of Hal "I'm nowhere near as interesting as Kyle" Jordan. 8/10
Stan Lee Meets The Thing- Not bad, but not as good as the last two. I actually liked the Roy Thomas story better than the head-liner. Still, these are a lot of fun, and are a great tribute. 7/10
Black Panther- Well well well. This is surprising. Hudlin has come up with one of the most interesting ideas I've seen during his entire run on this title. Should make the Civil War tie-in issues, and the future of this book, pretty entertaining. I find the super advanced Wakandan tech from 70 years ago kind of lame, though. The dialogue felt a little off too, but otherwise, pretty decent. 7/10
Excaliber- An interesting end, I suppose. Nothing too horrible, but nothing really spectacular, either. The history of the Black Knight was cool, as well as the history of the sword, but it all seemed to end quickly. Tied up a little too tight. I liked the appearence of another big Marvel dragon, but this arc didn't exactly sell me on continuing with this book. 6/10
