My predictions for top 5 Worldwide

1. Star Wars Episode VIII - 1.6 Billion
2. Beauty and the Beast - 1.1 billion
3. Spider-Man Homecoming - 1 billion
4. Transformers 5 - 900 million
5. Justice League - 890 billion

1. Star Wars 1500Mil
2. Beauty and the Beast 1200Mil
3. Justice League 950Mil
4. Guardians of the Galaxy 800Mil
5. Spider-Man: Homecoming 750Mil

King will be Star Wars Episode VIII. The following spots are harder to predict, but Fast 8, Pirates of the Caribbean 5, Transformers 5 and Justice League are most likely going to get past the billion mark. Beauty and the Beast, Thor 3, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Despicable Me 3 and Spider-Man also have some chances of getting close.

My guess for top five WW box office...

Star Wars
Fast 8
Transformers
Justice League
Guardians

Star Wars

And please no more Transformers, Fast & Furious, Pirates or DCEU getting crappy reviews and yet still do over $1B.

At least be quality!!!

So many movies I am looking forward to next year!

Star Wars 8 will be the highest grossing movie of 2017.

Star Wars
Pirates
Justice league
Guardians
Transformers/fast 8

I'm sure these will at least be in the top 10 WW

The last three Fast and Furious movies have actually all received mostly positive reviews and are considered by a lot of people some of the best straight up action movies of the decade.

How they were able to get to Fast 5 may be a mystery, but they've been strong since then.

I never watched past the 1st one.

1.Episode VIII--1.8 billion
2.Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2--1 billion
3.Beauty and the Beast--980 million
4.Spider-Man: Homecoming--950 million
5.Transformers: The Last Knight--900 million

Disney is gunna make a **** ton of money next year.

Star Wars Film - Yearly for the next 5 years
Marvel Films - 2-3 per year
Pixar - 1-2 per year
Live Action Disney Remake - 1 per year
Disney Animated - 1 per year

This year Disney is $4B WW + just with CW, Jungle Book, Zootopia and Finding Dory. Doctor Strange and Rogue One still in the queue.

You're right. Right now, they have the top four at WW box office for the year, and will likely have a Rogue One join them soon. The only non-Disney movie that might crack into the top five is going to be Fantasic Beasts (which I really don't care to see, at least not in the theater).

After two record-breaking years (domestically) it should be interesting to see if 2017 can improve even more. 2005 was the first year since 1991 that failed to be bigger than the year before. And since then it has been repeated in 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2014. So for the last decade it's almost been a three-year cycle and maye it's time again for a "down"-year.

It's going to be between VIII and Beauty and the Beast. I'm positive all three MCU will place somewhere in the Top 10. I'm really curious about where Spider-Man will land. Spidey just ain't as popular as he was in the Oughts.

I refuse to make a call on any DCEU movie until reviews are out. They can't just coast by on good faith anymore.

Star Wars. That franchise is a box office juggernaut.

this thread isn't called best films of 2017 its box office and thats something dceu does very well

suicide squad actually over performed

If JL doesn't score a $1B, I'd say they are on a level at least financially below MCU but above Fox.

I'm just saying. I was one of those people who thought BvS would be a shoe-in for $1B.

Everyone did. Batman on his own made a billion twice, but Batman and Superman combined in one movie couldn't. Laughable.
