Kinda clever. Though one of us would do it dressed in superhero garb, of course.

Not enough explosions.:o

Wow. I was expecting the words "will you marry me" to pop on the screen. This was elaborate. Well done.

yeah saw this a few weeks ago and the first thing I thought was, imagine if I was waiting to watch Thor or something and this crap came on LOL. But then I noticed the theatre was full of their friends.

Indeed very clever and he put in so much work into that.

Dammit, I already gotta sit through 30 minutes of previews, now this! - says the miserly old man.

I didn't realize that they were all buddies, that changes things. Otherwise I could definitely see some people getting kind of impatient with such a long set up, especially some of us lonely comic book enthusiast types who need not be reminded how alone we are by such a lovey dubbey exposition. :oldrazz:

The set up was long though, the corny father in law to son in law scene at the beginning was so laughable haha

The guy must have some serious bankroll though, none of that would of been cheap, let alone renting out the theatre.

He failed with the the whole Universal logo thing. Come on now. Cut that **** out. :o

Not to mention he basically put way too many spoilers in that trailer, she's already gonna feel like she's seen the movie.

Personally I just couldn't connect with the lead actor, I didn't feel as if he had me convinced enough that he was wanting to get married. I blame this on the script writer, they should have gotten Aaron Sorkin.

Also, you give the little speech and when you're ready to pull out the ring and ask the question, you kneel. It's just awkward to be on one knee and giving a speech.

Very clever and ingenious, but I always feel bad about marriage proposals like this because its almost so awesome that the girl can't really say no, and if she does, it would be so damn embarrassing.

If she said no, that would be the most awkward movie to sit through.

Lol I was thinking the same thing Aesop.
I guess public propsals are nice, but if she say no then that could be even worse

That's why you do public proposals, so she can't say no. It's the unspoken thing no one ever says, but all know why it's done.

I want to propose to my girl at a drama-filled Burger King. In the midst of the chaos.

I know the girl's dad from that "trailer." He goes to my church. I heard about it talking to him. He said to be on the look out for a cool new movie trailer because he knew that I was a film making enthusiast. Hmmm Superhero proposal. That's an idea.

Guy- Sweetie do I have your full attention?

Girl[Not looking at theater screen ] No.

Guy: Do you think I deserve it?

Girl: I agreed to see "The Hangover 2" and I don't want to perjure myself, so I have an obligation to say no.

Girl: Okay - no. You don't think I deserve your attention.

;)

I think unless the chick had a serious problem with commitment or just didn't like you, they'd more than likely say yes to something like that. Creativity is a panty dropper.
