At least they didn't expose themselves to lots of radiation in hopes of becoming the Hulk.
One of these days, one of these young men should run to be governor of Georgia.
I admire their dedication to be a superhero. But they forgot one crucial part about becoming Spider-Man. The spider itself has to be either genetically altered or radioactive. No normal spider will do.
If they were really hardcore they'd have put out a hit on their parents then pleaded to go to the theatre.
Wait they didn’t turn into Black Widow? She has mad fighting skills and cool gadgets..
Please don’t encourage them. Please?
Pietro shared the drama as a warning to parents, saying that “for children everything is real, movies are real” — even though they are in fact an “illusion,” according to Telemundo.
No. Those kids are old enough to know that comic book superheroes and magic and fantasy movies arent real. Especially the 12 year old.
This is the part that bothered me most. These kids had no understanding of the source material at all. They deserved what happened.
The way I howled at this lmao.
Perhaps he's extrapolating from real-life role models:
Spider-Man: Homecoming didn't say anything about the spider being radioactive, or anything like that, so that's probably part of it.
I'm sure this changes Marvel's plan for the third movie, where the villain gets his power from eating Tide Pods.
Close call. Could’ve ended up like the MCU Black Widow here.
Uh oh, better cancel Spider-Man.
whatever happened to the thread about stupid people doing stupid things
Now why didn't I think of that?
Damnit, now I have to cancel my self-published comic books "Swallowing Stuff Under the Sink Man," "Captain Lego-Eater" and "Professor Whenever and His Time Travelling Abandoned Refrigerator."
Nincompoops! 8yo maybe but the 10 and especially 12yo brother should have known it was bs, dumb and risky to try. It's common sense and if it was even possible to easily get superpowers like in comics, then everyone would be outside during lightning storms trying to become The Flash
Boy gets bitten by Black Widow. Boy wakes up the next day and sees he now has the body of Scarlett Johansson. Boy never leaves house again.
That Florida man/woman thread you mean?
Wasn't there an ongoing thread about news stories about people doing stupid things?
here this is the one
Stupid People Doing Stupid Things Thread - Part 3
What happened to education standards? These guys should have read their comics - life is dangerous when you don't.
You'd be surprised at how many older than 12 years think they can obtain super powers through such dangerous means.
