Which villains do you want to see in Marvel Studios' Spider-Man 4. You can ignore the scoops, and just mention who you want to see originally.

Mine are:
Scorpion- because he was introduced in Homecoming and still no proper appearance as a full on Scorpion
Black Cat and Silver Sabre- not really as traditional villains but more like opponents/anti-heroines.
Jack O Lantern- I find the character intriguing. If there's an obscure Spider-Man villain that I would choose, it is him.

Any of those three would be exciting for me. And I would want 2 villains as the maximum number for this sequel.

Replace Jack O Lantern with HobGoblin and I would be down with this.

Also, may i add, if Kraven the Hunter wasn't happening - I would have mentioned Kraven and Chameleon.

Shreik and Morbius could have been interesting in the MCU as well.

The rumors for this movie have been so weird. I have no interest in Knull being the main villain. I want classic characters in this- Black Cat, Venom, Kraven, Scorpion, Tombstone, Kingpin, Rhino, Hobgoblin would all be welcome additions. As far as newer villains go, I like Mister Negative more than Knull

I've just learned of the character recently through the rumors, but I find Knull character utterly boring , and the potential of him as the villain of Spiderman 4, is even worse.

I say this for Knull: he is better than Morlun

If Kraven were still available (and he may eventually be) I would honestly have used a pretty good chunk of the full Kraven family - Sergei as the Big Bad looking for one last great hunt and being a terrifyingly superior foe, Ana as a sympathetic and pitiable but villainous peer for Peter and his friends (imagine her tracking Peter’s civilian guise and stumbling across MJ when Peter goes to see her for some measure of solace), and Chamelon as the insidious, lurking threat. The way to integrate them into Peter’s civilian life story is, again, Ana stalking him and brining his friends (last and current) under potential fire and making Peter feel even more pressure to drop most of his civilian life (which he actually needs to stay mentally healthy.)

Scorpion is a great muscle villain, and one that might be elevated by Michael Mando’s pure intensity and skill, though he feels to me like he would benefit greatly from having some boss above him. Honestly, I would love it if he was, say, a prisoner volunteer for a Spider-Slayer program funded by Fisk and Jameson, who gets an updated and upgraded enhancement after a decent chunk of the film is the earlier Spider-Slayers giving Smythe data, with Scorpion of course being a physically superior but uncontrollable psycho. Part of the comedy here would be Peter having to deliver photos to Jameson knowing the money from the publicity plugs in to the Spider-Slayer program.

Hobgoblin would be a good foil villain if they made him embrace Jason Macendale’s moral cowardice and irresponsibility, and had him “grow” in the film using the same duplicity, ambition, and cunning that the Animated Series version of the character had - conniving to get upgrades from potential employers or patrons to go from simple thug to a major, possibly recurring villain who repeatedly jumps up and down on Peter’s trauma butting because his main transportation and weapon platform is copied from some left-over data Norman left behind. I also think he could potentially have a parallel to Peter’s last involvement with Magic: one way for him to potentially get power would be to make a deal with Mephisto and use some of the Demogoblin stuff for his power. Give him a sword and a mercenary personality, and I think he can be an “heir” to Green Goblin without being a cheap knockoff.

I would like to see a live action adaptation of Mister Negative someday.

I am biased in that I want Scorpion because of the actor that portrays Mac Gargan. SM4 should have him be the secondary villain while Kingpin is the main villain. SM5 could be the movie with the symbiote, where by the end it bonds with Gargan so that we then have our MCU Venom for SM6.

Michael Mando is a big reason why I’d still be intrigued in seeing his Scorpion on screen - Mando excels at making ostensible thugs or villainous sidekick mesmerizing without needing to make them “Big Bad” types of characters.

By the same token though, I would love it of Bokeem Woodbine got a cameo as a Shocker’s who’s settled into his “blue collar bad guy” mode, and they gave him a weirdly wholesome rapport with Spidey in some early fight scene.

Imagine if they had Woodbine be the guest-star of an early action scene to establish how the New York underworld is handling Spider-Man now, where Shocker’s clearly better than everyone else but still outmatched… then he gets broken out by Mando’s psychotic Mac Gargan and taken to Kingpin to give a briefing if everything he knows about Spider-man in combat, with Woodbine playing it as an intimidated but still professional criminal who knows he’s in over-his-head for a scene.

I'm good with all this, yo. my head is so full of these fan fiction ideas that I published Youtube videos talking about this stuff lol and I mentioned bringing back Shocker too because after he's arrested in Homecoming, that's the end of his arc. they could easily bring him back for an MCU Sinister 6.

Gossip mongers:

Shortly after the initial rumor broke, Jeff Sneider sent out an X post which appeared to hint that another redheaded actress with the initials "SS" may have either been cast or in talks, and he pretty much confirmed who he was referring to during tonight's episode of The Hot Mic.

Based on Sneider's clues, we'd say he was most likely talking about Succession star Sarah Snook. The reporter also mentioned that he heard Anne Hathaway was approached for the role, but turned it down.

A long time ago, Anne Hathaway was cast as Felicia Hardy (Black Cat) for Sam Raimi's unmade Tobey Maguire Spider-Man 4.

Today, scooper Daniel Richtman reveals that Marvel Studios is looking at actresses between 30 - 50 years old for the mystery baddie, suggesting they're casting a wide net (web?) for the character.

DanielRPK: "RPK EXCLUSIVE SPIDER-MAN 4 SCOOP
...
I confirmed a casting a female villain,
doesn't say she's the MAIB villain tho
so there could be someone else as the
main villain or maybe multiple villains.
The casting call was for someone in her
30s-50s. Any ethnicity."

If the lead villain is a female character, I truly hope it isn't The Spider Queen , which has been the latest fan speculation.

She sounds just as bad as Knull .

I could totally see Anne Hathaway in the Lady Ock role .

I dont think it will be anyone obvious like Lady Ock. Especially if we're getting a multiverse movie. I think at that point, we're looking at a gender swapped villain or maybe someone like Spider Queen or Shathra

Aunt May (Marisa Tomei) is dead and MJ-Watson (Zendaya) is likely sidelined until she remembers Peter and that could be another movie or more away. I think that balance is part of the reason why they're looking to add new female characters.

I thought of Lady Doc Ock, but its been done in the Spider-Verse.

Anne Hathaway would have been cool as Black Cat in SM3 or SM4, though she was quite tamed as Catwoman. Sad, if she turned down a MCU role. I want to see her in a Marvel movie!

A female villain would be refreshing for a Spider-Man movie (live action).

"It's a very hard thing to use my [Fisk/Kingpin] character. It's very hard for Marvel to use my character, it's a very hard thing to do because of ownership and stuff. Right now, I'm only useable for television series. Different kinds of series, whatever it is, not even a one off Fisk movie or anything like that. It's all caught up in rights and stuff. I don't know when that'll work out or if it'll work out at all, really."
