No ones talking about this, what gives?

Loved Martian Manhunter the best:up:

I was JUST going to make this exact post.

What a great book. And $1, come on! Buy it!

I think I'll try out Capt. Marvel and Freedom Fighters for sure. The ending was a GREAT twist!

Who was the character that returned that "we would never expect to see"?

I forgot to get this pulled for me, and my shop under-ordered.

Martian Manhunter- The story seems great but im sick of those close-ups.

Freedom Fighters- Seems cool, Firebrand is a great character.

Creeper- My fave of them all. Im a big fan of Steve Niles too. Thought it was a real funny cool character.

Atom- I wasnt impressed by that one.

Shazaam- Looking forward to this one. seems cool. I like all that supernatural magic type story

It's funny, it really didn't do much for me in terms getting me hooked on any of the series. Before I read it, Captain Marvel was the only one I was playing to get, now after I read it, Captain Marvel's the only one I plan to get.

With that said, however, I do hope the MM mini is as good as it looked. I was so expecting Lieberman to drop the ball, it was really quite surprising to see an excerpt of it that good.

The art for the Captain Marvel piece was gorgeous. I think I had an artgasm. :o

Great price, great art so very well done.

It was actually free at my comicshop.

Anyway, as it really was just a big preview issue;

OMAC - No thanks, just didn't grab me.

Martian Manhunter - I'll give it a try but I'm not that impressed, still on the fence.

Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters - Can't wait for this series. It was fantastic, definatly picking it up.

The All New Atom - No thanks, really not for me. I love Gail Simone but this was just bad. Maybe it was the artwork or maybe it was because I just miss Ray.

The Creeper - Definatly will pick this up, really enjoyed it.

Trails of Shazam - It was good and interesting, will pick it up.

hey yenald, what do you think happen to mary marvel? i felt bad for her, especially with that one panel with her crying.:(

Im liking the Shazam story.

Same here but we're always giving away free stuff just because no one ever comes in.:(

i'm going to be picking up the new Atom series, the previews i've seen from it all look good, nothing great though.
i was interested in Omac, but well....that just looks bad :down
i want to pick up The Creeper, Shazam!, Martian Manhunter and Freedom Fighters but i don't think my wallet will allow it, i think i'll just pick one and get the others in tpb when they come out, will probably pick up Shazam! in single issues.

Holy ****, you're kidding me

was this the same place you were talking about last week? I spoke to somebody else who shops there and they said the 4 year waiting peroid for a subscriber box wasn't true

Anybody else get the feeling the Monitors felt like the Watchers? I dunno. Just felt that way.

Not getting OMAC, they still remind me of Prime Sentinels.

SHAZAM, I'm picking up.

Not Creeper or Atom

I was right that Firebrand was being enlisted by Uncle Sam, and I'll be picking up Freedom Fighters definitely.

And the MM never really grabbed me, so I think I'll pass on this one.

I liked the Captain Marvel and Freedom Fighters stories.

I'm on the fence about Martian Manhunter and the Creeper.

I was bored out of my mind by OMAC and thought the Atom sucked in pretty much every way.

I'm pretty sure I don't like where this multiple Monitors thing is going, but I'll give it time to see where it actually does go. Seems like DC's treading on thin ice with that. I'm certain I'm not the only one who saw the blatant similarities to Marvel's Watchers, right down to the euphemistic name. The Watchers haven't even been important to Marvel in about 20 years, so I can't see any advantage DC would have in turning one of its established characters into a carbon copy of them.

Omac-Look Bruce Jones, get the Terminator movies out of your DVD player and come up with something more original.

Kinda like how I mentioned the Watcher's thing in the post before yours? ;)

But I agree about the lack of usefullness. The Watchers were major in only a few things. The first coming of Galactus being the most important obviously, and the occassional What If stories where he just talks about them (Which obviously isn't important). And a Watcher sometimes shows up to denote the seriousness of an event, such as Civil War. So I'm kind of curious how the Monitors will play out, though I don't expect anything fun.
