Breaking Bad - Part 1

I have a sinking feeling that Walt's gonna end up killing Hank.

The finale of season 4 wouldn't have been the perfect ending, but if that was the end of the series I would have been totally fine with it.

Also, I personally think Hank is going to die. Probably by Walt's hand. I don't know whether he'll do it directly or indirectly, voluntarily or involuntarily, but I'm certain that Walt is going to be the cause of Hank's death. Vince Gilligan wants us to hate Walt, and there are a lot of people who still like him and think his actions are justified even after he poisoned Brock, sent his elderly neighbor into a house where she could have been murdered, etc. Walt is going to have to do some pretty despicable **** to make people hate him.

Did Vince Gilligan actually say he wants us to hate Walt ? Or is that what people think . I think Hank will arrest Walt myself

He basically wants to turn him into the villain, like Scarface, the guy we hate rooting for, but do so anyway.

well the season 4 ending was in a way enough to hate him. everyone who thinks that he had the right to do what he did is wrong hehehee :) . it was mean and evil

i think Walt is now able to kill everyone but his family. so wife and son are not in danger.

Knowing this show is a masterpiece of escalation and story progression, Walter is definitely going to do something worse than what he did to Brock. Keep an eye out, Hank.

Hank's my favorite character too. But yeah, I don't see him making it out alive. But I don't see Walt making it out alive either. I see Jesse killing him.

Since it's the last season, no one is safe from getting axed.

What's great about this show -among a lot of things- is that is so unpredictable. And with the final season arriving soon, I really like that we don't know what to expect. Such an amazing show.

I think Skylar and Holly are 100% safe, but Walter Jr. almost feels like it's a long time coming for him to be in danger.

Kinda hard to like a villian that is just too mean. I don't think -- or I hoep at least -- that they don't make Walt go too far in the next season. Everything he did last season he had areason for, if they make him too pyscho, no one will root for him at all anymore. I don't want to hate Walt that much anyhow. :(

Vince Gilligan has already said that Walt completely crossing to the other side is entirely possible. Its not a given the show will end with him and everyone around him being happy with no consequences, in fact its highly doubtful.

Yea Walt did have a reason for doing the things he did but they were still pretty selfish, so I expect his transformation until the villain to continue. He's not going to be likeable but that's fine with me.

I can't wait seeing all of the dominoes tumbling down around Walt, but even if they're planning to amped up Walt's evil actions for season 5 I still don't think I could hate him, after this long we've followed his journey, we have a connection with the character and understand his motives and in some ways sympathize with him, but I could be speaking way too soon.

I wonder where the hell Season Five is going to take us. Is Walt going to start cooking meth again? He does have the car wash. I wonder if Walt will be the villain this season. I think he has to be.

I still find Walt likeable even though I think at this point he's veering right into villain territory with the people he's screwed over and the lines that he is crossing with increasing ease.

Eliminating the two villains last season opened up the spot for Walt.

while walt has been shady, just about everything he's done can be reasonably justified.

i can see his heisenberg personality taking over a bit more, making his decisions harder to justify.

Definitely justified, in the nature of self-preservation. But also increasingly selfish. It seem like a natural progression for him to really screw Hank over in the final season because he's been getting so close. If such a thing happens it'll become easier and easier to dislike him.

Has it been cleared up about that scene from the last episode of Season Four where it looks like someone is watching Walt and Jesse from inside the car garage? Or is it just the way they filmed that scene?

Yeah, I really don't see any major villain being revealed in this final season except Walt. The Mexican cartel is taken care of along with Gus and his organization. Unless they bring in someone from where Gus ordered his lab equipment. I think it was mentioned someone in Germany or something that Hank was investigating.

EDIT: Can't forget about Mike. I wonder where the hell they are going to take him. Great character.

Possibly this season will just focus on Walt building up his own little empire and then, at the very end when his horrible deeds seem to have paid off, he succumbs to his cancer. That would be a nice route to take. And I'll be ok if Jessie dies. He's so unlikeable that I don't really care.

Um, yeah. He's an idiot, easily manipulated, and always getting in trouble. I'd almost feel sorry for him if he wasn't such a moron. If Walt kills him, so be it.

I caught up on this show in December. Loved it. I'm subscribing so I can get in on the discussion when it comes back. :yay:
