Gilligan said the Nazis will come back, so I'm guessing they contribute to Walter's escape from NM.

Is Cranston going to be bald again? I figured Walt would have the hair and beard look from the cold open of Season 5 for a good deal of the rest of the season.

Must. Refuse. Temptation to argue about what shows are better....

I hated Sopranos and The Wire's final seasons. Sopranos had it's moments but man oh man The Wire's final season I could hardly pay attention. That's all I'm gonna say lol

I'm going to take that a step further by saying that I never got into the Wire. Even though I really REALLY wanted to.

:(

Getting into the wire seems like one of those things that seems pretty hard but you have to do at some point.

I haven't been able to get past the 1st episode yet but i take people's words that it is one of the greatest shows.

I always figured he'd escape NM in spite of them.

I see the end of the season ultimately coming down to Walt vs. Lydia/Todd and his Neo-Nazi connections.

Once they both realize he is in danger of exposure (however that happens) I can't see them giving him the benefit of the doubt that he won't be arrested. Just like Walt arranged for those guys in lockup to be taken care of I see Lydia approaching an all too eager Todd about the "Walt" problem.

It's an unbelievably slow burning show. It always starts off slowly, and you really only get the pay off in the last 4 or 5 episodes of each season.

The first and second season are good. After that, it feels like a chore to watch.

The Wire has yet to be topped in television.. it's a fact. You don't have to love it, you might not even like it, but you should at least recognize it. I enjoy Rome more, I enjoy the majority of Breaking Bad more.. but The Wire is the best.

Looking forward to this returning, I hope Jesse actually gets to be a character again for the later half of this season, rather than an occasional plot device like he turned into during the first half.

I think it would be fitting for some one, Jesse, or Skylar to turn on the insecticide while Walt is in making Meth.

Him dying because of Chemicals, & being found dead in his own lab would be poetic.

I wonder if Jesse will ever find out that Walt let Janey die. That could trigger Jesse just walking in to the tent & turning on the chemical fan that spreads the bug spray.

Yep, The Wire is the best, hands down. I'm currently in the process of rewatching it for the fifth or sixth time. I'm in the middle of Season Three. This is just great television. I don't understand how people can not love The Wire, but love Breaking Bad. You have to pay attention to Breaking Bad, just as much as The Wire. The Shield is also up there for me.

But depending how on this show ends, it could top The Wire. It all depends.

It's possible to like and enjoy The Wire without buying into the hyperbole and thinking it's god's gift to television.

I love The Wire, but there's also plenty of equally great tv series out there.

I, um...loved season 5 of the Wire? I really don't understand why everyone pans that season. In fact, it probably had the simplest and easiest to follow storyline out of all 5 seasons. Not only the that, the finale pretty much tied up everything and summed up the series well....why don't people like it?? :(

It's objectively a better show than any other I've had the pleasure of watching. Again, it's not my favorite(although it would definitely make my top 10 and might even crack my top 5), but it is the best. It resists the urge to be flashy or full of fanfare and rises well above mere entertainment into meaningful, important art that truly has something to say.

I'll second that. It's a great show, but there's plenty just as good. Personally it's a favorite of mine, but not my absolute -that honor goes to The Shield. (which incidentally, The Wire took plenty of cues from)

Okay, I'm on season 2 and it's ****ing great. I plowed through season 1 in a day and I'm gonna plow through some more tomorrow.

Bryan Cranston is the best actor on television right now. Now I heard it gets even better (which I don't doubt) so I can't wait to see his transformation even more.
