Man I remember the Lost thread was up from the premiere almost all the way to the final season. These were the pre-Thread Manager days, the good days. Lol. For real though, I remember that thread was massive, I mean, it was up for over 5 years. Crazy

^ Right then and there I knew season 4 would belong to Jesse. The way he unflinchingly leaned forward at that moment compared to how Walt leaned back in horror was almost like a role reversal.

have mixed emotions about the Gus death scene as an avatar. New people seem to be discovering BB all the time and it would kinda suck to have that event spoiled by someone's avy.

I wonder if there's an exact time period from when a tv/movie event happens to when it's fair game to be spoiled? 5 years is probably a safe bet?

I'd say it's not the length of time so much as how well-known the twists are. Practically everyone knows Darth Vader was Luke's father. But a lot of people even today might be starting to catch The Sopranos or The Shield for the first time. Many of them might not know about some of the deaths even though they happened a decade ago. I think old spoilers are fine for discussion without spoiler-tags. You can't be expected to hold out for everyone. But a looping avatar of half-face Gus that would accompany all your posts in threads wholly unrelated to the show might annoy some people who are just starting to get in to it.
