Breaking in with Christian Slater

I'm surprised to see Slater make such a push for television. Hopefully comedy works out for him better than drama, although I liked My Own Worst Enemy.

same here. i really liked My Own Worst Enemy as well. had a really cool plot line

Anybody end up watching the pilot tonight after American Idol?

I thought it was good. And staring at Odette Yustman for half an hour didn't hurt.

i wasn't planning on watching it...but the black guy (not racist...I dont know his name) made me laugh a couple of times, so I figured I'd give it a shot for half an hour...

Then...Odette Yustman...the glorious perfection that is Odette Yustman...I'd watch just about anything if she was in it.

It was a pretty good show had the guy from Reaper & V in it & Michael Rosenbaulm also.

The pilot was actually quite good. I will countinue to watch the show.

I was sort of amazed to see Rosenbaum play such a wildly different character than Lex Luthor on Smallville. I lke Odette Yustman too.

I was surprised by this show. I will keep watching for sure.

Good. I kinda feel like I have the new show kiss of death so I'm always mildly optimistic about liking a new show.

And honestly I didn't even recognize Rosenbaum.

Not a bad start. Hopefully more focus on the heist in the future and less on run-of-the-mill office antics. But I'm on board for the moment.

This new eppy made me giggle like girl. Slater is awesome. Highlander bit was nice.

"Tappin' the grave, tappin' the grave, open the coffin..."

:funny:

Better than the premiere

Hope Alyssa Milano drops in every now and then, she's just as wild as Oz.

I like this show. Plays to the actors' natural personality tendencies well.

Nice, but I liked the nod to Heathers, starting off the ep with Slater's "Greetings and Salutations!" line. Speaking of which, I NEED Wynona Ryder to guest star on this show! (sidenote: her and Slater have BOTH been in Star Trek films!)

And yeah, "Tappin' the Grave" and the dance that goes with it was priceless. Yustman doing the dance as well was hilarious!

And Rosenbaum with his own hair?!?! I haven't seen his own hair since the first Urban Legends!!!

so...ratings?

Ah well...here are the ratings for Ep 2 and 3. Basically the same....decent so far, needs to hold or rise a bit.

Ep 2.

2.6/7 18-49 with 7.790 mil viewers.

Ep 3.

2.5/6 with 7.464 mil viewers.

Please stay above 2.4 18-49 and 7 mil viewers....nice to see it find a audience after the drop from a high 9 mil viewers.

I swear, Breaking In is the offspring of 30 Rock and Cougar Town hooking up. Best eppy so far. Look forward to ratings.

Only 3 more episodes left for debut season!

First time watching this tonight and I liked it.

Although I don't know if the Ted McGinley appearance is a good thing or not. People have said him on a TV show is a sign that the show is about to end (despite the fact that Married with Children lasted for 7 seasons with him on it and he made that show better than David Garrison). At least with this one its only a guest appearance.

And I didn't even recognize Rosenbaum there for a bit. Absolutely the complete opposite of Lex Luthor.

As for Christian Slater, he's had two failed shows in recent years. Hopefully the third time is the charm for him as it has been for Alex O'Loughlin. The Missing wasn't a bad show, it just lacked the ratings. My Own Worst Enemy wasn't bad either.

Also, Fox is in dire need of comedies that aren't animated and even those shows are losing steam. CBS has Monday, ABC has Wednesday and NBC has Thursday. They seem to have found a mild hit in Raising Hope (which is a funny show, nice to see Garrett Dillahunt play a totally different character than what we usually see from him). And now, Fox may have this show. Running Wilde was a failure and I doubt that Traffic Light returns even though that show has had its moments.

Breaking In breaking the Slater Curse?

Breaking In - 2.6/6 18-49 with 7.61 million viewers. :yay: Three weeks in a row now it is steady. These aren't the finals, so it could drop, stay the same, or rise. If this hoolds, it will have risen a bit in 18-49 and total viewers vs last week.

About time. I've liked his last two shows, but this one hits it out of the park for me. For a half-hour show, I get more chuckles and out-and-out laughs out of this show than I do with Chuck.
