I think that it will get released eventually. Whether it be by a future president or a leak, its bound to get out. You can't keep something like this under wraps forever. It is better to release it on our terms, our way, as a unified country than to wait for the embarrassment or scandal of it getting leaked or allowing it to become politicized by a future president.

Obama will release it as his "October Surprise" right before the 2012 election.

Doesn't change the fact that it's a freedom taken away. Returning to economic freedom, since there are more taxes and higher inflation then ever (including what you have to pay to the DHS) it means less money for you to spend on what you want. Less economic freedom.

Americans have been paying taxes since the country came into existance...you cant blame that on Homeland Security. Ben Franklin said the only thing that is certain is Death and Taxes

I think that would be an October Suprise for his opponent as it would come off as transparent and piss people off. I dunno....people seem to have...I don't want to say forgotten about this, but got over it already. People are back to talking about the job market and gas prices. I don't think this will carry him through the economy. Obama is still vulnerable, I think. Not as vulnerable as he was one week ago, but vulnerable.

Have they finally released a conclusive story yet as to what happen? Seems to be different stories coming out of the administration. Saw a youtube clip Shepard Smith going bonkers over this. There was a follow up where he tried to do a FOIA on the photo. Apparently it is not subject to that Act.

The one story that stands out is the Eric Holder one. MSNBC claims

The killing of Osama bin Laden was legally justified, and would have been even if the al-Qaida leader had made some sign that he wished to surrender, Attorney General Eric Holder said Wednesday.

"The operation in which Osama bin Laden was killed was lawful," Holder told the Senate Judiciary Committee. "He was the head of al-Qaida, an organization that had conducted the attacks of September 11th. He admitted his involvement and he indicated that he would not be taken alive. The operation against bin Laden was justified as an act of national self defense."

Covering ass? The justification is not the problem, but the different official reports on the actions is just bizarre.

al' Qaeda is an Arabic word; Arabic does not use the Roman alphabet. There is no "correct" spelling with Roman letters, and spellings vary by preference.

Except no articles on the internet anywhere, when I typed it into a google search yielded such a spelling. "France" is not really called "France", yet there is an official English spelling of it, and a typical spelling of it.

From what President Obama said in the 60 minutes interview, when he was asked if he had seen the pictures, he said...yes, and then went on to say, IT WAS Osama Bin Laden.....and he was going by the picture itself in that line of questioning.
