Breaking: Ryan Reynolds Says He’s Up For “Justice League” Film

Ryan Reynolds says “The Flash” may yet live. It just might not be in the superhero’s own film first. Just hours ago, our own Shawn Adler peppered the oft-rumored star of “The Flash” about his association with the DC comics speedster and here’s what Reynolds said: “‘The Flash’ isn’t dead at all. There’s talk of it being a JLA movie, the Justice League having them all together. And then there’s other talk of doing a ‘Flash’ movie with [director] Shawn Levy.”


Rumors of a Justice League movie have gained momentum in recent weeks. Now we’re hearing it straight from one of the potential stars’ mouths. When asked if he thought the JLA film might happen first, Reynolds told us, “[it] might, yeah. I don’t really know how much I’m allowed to talk about that stuff. But I’m sure they’ll figure out something. It’s no secret that they have a JLA script and it’s a project that’s in development – the contents of which, who knows. We’ll see.”


For an actor who’s no longer “officially” attached to play a role, Reynolds sounded very excited about the prospect of a Justice League film, “I’d love to see a full on Justice League movie done, the scope of which is just enormous. I think it’s something they can pull off.”

Given Flash's personality, at least in the animated format (I don't read the comics that often) I think Reynolds fits that "Obnoxious Frat Boy" persona that animated Wally had.

At this point, I think it's most likely that a stand alone Flash movie would spin off of JLA, so it might be one in the same.

Shipp has aged very well...Plus the series wasn't that long ago at all.

exactly and you cant have the JL without the flash he's always been an essential member which is why they would introduce Wally in the second movie or at the end of the first to take Barry's place

They want John Stewart in this. So they should simply change Barry to Wally. And instead of killing him let him join the speedforce, only to reappear at the end.

if he has to choose, i'd rather have Reynolds be in the live action movie. they could get Michael Rosenbaum or Neil Patrick Harris to do the voice for the CG JLA

his more recent roles weren't great, but he's not bad in the least bit.
