Breaking: US forces storm Iranian Consulate

Yes and it makes since, Bush is a part of a very Neo-Conservative party and uses Neo-Conservative strategies and docterine to the extreme. In a sense you can say he himself is a Neo-Conservativs wet dream. He has people in the Admin who wrote the "Project For a New American Century," and a little known docterine nicknamed "Pax Americana." They are more about military and expanding the American Empire. In fact, you could say they are against much of what The American People believe in. It is not just coincidence that in his speeches, he labels the places that "The Project For A New American Century" and "Pax Americana" wants to extend into and occupy. Have you seen how the bases there in the middle East on a map line up right by the Oil Pipeline? Coincidence? I think not. But of course Oil is only one thing they want in the MIddle East. The place itself to be under attack, thus showing the might of America. A Wrongful mean might, that is what The Americans were warned about, "The MIlitary Industrial Complex" has grown too large and is overpowering it's creators. Jus like Frankensteins monster overpowered him.

YAY!!!
More Arabs mad at us!!!
Why doesn't the U.S. Government declare war on the Entire Middle East and get it over with.:whatever:

Well..... Iran has been behind the insurgency since the start. What better place for them to hide than the consulate.

And from what I hear, nothing will be a safe haven for those rats...not even mosques.

Call me crazy, but if it is a consulate, we just invaded Iran.

This can technically be considered an act of war.:csad:

The article states that the US does not consider the building a consulate.

That allows them wiggle room as the definition of Consulate is usually a defined and "marked" building or structure.

The Iranians would have a good reason to call it a consulate if they were using it as something else. It deflects any criticism of why there were there if they were not there on a diplomatic mission.

The strange thing is that there appears to be an Iranian consulate in Basra as well ?

The article also stated that "Iranian and Iraqi officials said the building was an Iranian consulate."

And I thought Jourmugand was bad :o

I think they are all lying ... But who can prove what is the question.

The fun thing would be to have the United Nations have each country list official Consulates in all other countries.

It is not like an embassy and they have different standing is my understanding.

Again ... if they have one in Basra what is the role of this other location? How many consulates do you normally have in a foreign country?
