Romance Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy

I couldn't care less about Bridget Jones entering her cougar phase. :sigh:

Really liked this one. It's more sophisticated and emotional than the earlier installments, but it's still funny and super entertaining. Leo Woodall is also very easy on the eyes.

Universal please stop showing the scene where Emma Thompson asks Bridget if she's okay and then blare Natasha Bedingfield. :weeping:

Apparently, he's in Tom Holland's Cherry. :hmm:

Heading out this week to see this.

Looking forward to it, the first will always be my favourite.

I never understood how, Mark & Bridget, for being 'soulmates', fell out & spilt up an awful lot.

I prefer 3 to 2 but this one does seem to have a bit of depth to it & emotional heft to it.

I'm shocked Natasha Bedingfield didn't work with Train. They have very similar writing styles.

The author wanted more money. :o

Was hugely impressed with this. Given I wasn't the biggest fan of films 2 & 3, having loved the first, this felt much more akin to that in terms of the feel, goal & intention of the story.

Its essentially a film about....
Grief and how we navigate it's trajectory

The emotional core is heartfelt and 'real' in Bridget's wish to tackle what is happening to her and how to move forward with balancing it all and absolutely releasing the guilt one feels when facing the prospect of life
alone
.

Absolutely loved it and so happy it's been successful here in the UK and with overall box office.

Major studios are being major idiots when it comes to theatrical rollouts these days.

Seems to be no rhyme or reason to what does and what doesn't receive a cinematic release, these days. So glad this is proving to be successful.

Currently at $118 million.
