Transformers brief sexual humor, and language.

WTF? Transformers was always aimed for teenagers and children. The movie here should be no different.

As much as we like these PG-13 flicks to be more geared towards us with the humor and violence, any flick that's based on a popular comic book, cartoon, tv show or game that kids are into will have merchandising geared towards them. They know about half of their demographic is little kids. You'd be a moron to not think so. It's ****ing Transformers.

I know the rating, I just don't understand it at all. Hey kids! Buy the Optimus Prime helmet! Don't see the movie though, it's not for you..

Revenge of the Sith was PG-13 as well...but that was marketed toward kids as well. How is that any different?

I don't think Anakin was calling people ***** or talking about jerking off.

Exactly, except the movie isn't aimed at children.

You really are having that hard a time grasping what they are trying to do?

Transformers has ALWAYS been thought of as a children's show. There are toys, cartoons, comic books, etc...mostly thought of by the general audience as intended for children. Then they go and spend 150 million dollars on a movie that they want EVERYONE to see. They KNOW that they already have the kids...just by name only. Now they want Transformers to appeal to EVERYONE ELSE...so they make it a movie that has mature comedic elements to keep the grown ups there laughing. Name one classic action movie that DOESN'T have sexually comedic references. THAT is why the movie isn't aimed toward just children.

So you think people are saying "Let's go see Transformers! I hear there's swears and sex talk"? People want to see giant robots fight.

MATURE? No.

While I must say that the ratings info does warn parents about light sexual stuff being in the TF movie, if it was up to me, I wouldn't have made the *********ion references so obvious or repeated it several times. Sam's mom could have said "Were you touching yourself?" and it would have been just as funny because that's the kind of things moms say.

But again - we're talking about Michael Bay here, and the word "subtle" is not in his vocabulary.

So you think people are saying "Let's go see Transformers! I hear there's swears and sex talk"? People want to see giant robots fight.

MATURE? No.

MATURE as in the rating...is it that hard to understand? As in its a borderline R rating.

Tell me ONE action movie that doesn't follow the same formula:

ACTION
COMEDY
MORE ACTION
HOT GIRLS
FAST CARS (or whatever vehicle they're using in that time period)
CHASE SCENES

Now tell me how Transformers was different? You are the one who decided to take your child, who I assume is younger than 13, to a PG13 movie. You seem to be okay with your child watching violence but sexual connotations make you uncomfortable. Learn to deal with it...you're a parent.

LOL, I'm not a parent.

One movie? Batman Begins is PG-13, but isn't filled with sexual humor or really even swearing.

And honestly are you really using violence as an argument? As I said before kids don't have gliders nor do they have giant robots.

Unbelievable......just saw the movie last night. I'm 26 by the way, not sure how old the people are that are crying bloody murder. lol

The sexual jokes and humour is so weak, believe me it could have been worse. I can't believe people are complaining about it, it wasn't remotely offensive. Shows how many people need to stop being so sensitive. Not to mention looking at the last few years of teen pregnancys, I think extremely young teenagers regardless of the movie already know those words and type of humour in this day and age.

If you want to complain about something corrupting the kids complain about rap and hip hop. Don't know about anyone else but I live in California, you can't go anywhere without seeing a bunch of really young white kids (im white myself) going around acting and dressed like their some kind of loser ass gangster from the ghetto. Not to mention teaching girls to be a bunch of ****es as well.

Ohhhh gawd. I'm not talking about..****ing teenagers, i'm talking about kids who play on the slides at McDonald's. Why the hell isn't this movie also for them? WHY CAN'T IT BE FOR EVERYONE?!

Oh, nevermind...you were referring to your nephew. Did you take him? How old are you?

Parents who are REALLY concerned with these types of things do research beforehand or wait until they hear more about the movie before taking their kids to these films. If they bring them opening night and have no idea what to expect...then that falls on the parent. Your type of thinking is what's wrong with the world today IMO...what is your solution? To censor the film? To make it a sterile movie? The movie appeals to a lot of people due to the humor in the film. If parents don't want their kids to watch it then they should READ the rating and reason and AVOID the movie.

It is for everyone, those kids who play on the slides at McDonalds....the jokes are going to go over their heads.

But they shouldn't even be there, that's my point.

Personally, I found the sexual humor to be pretty far from funny but not offensive. Does it matter if a 5 year old kid finds out what *********ing means? He'd probably just find it gross.

Are you dense???

Let me break it down for you one last time and then I'm done with you.

Transformers has ALWAYS been for kids.

They want THIS movie to appeal to an older crowd...NOT just kids.

So they make the movie more appealing to an older crowd by putting more mature themes in the movie.

DONE

WHY CAN'T IT BE FOR EVERYONE?!

Show me a movie that does this that is marketed towards EVERYBODY!

:whatever: Not sure how old you are but if you have kids...don't let them watch E.T. As Wesyeed said in another post, if you remember Elliot calls his brother penis breath or face in that movie. That is just as bad as anything that was in Transformers. Never heard any parents complaining about it in the number of years that movie has been around.

Harry Potter. Unless I missed the part where Harry started slapping girls on the ass and calling them hos.

Exactly, except the movie isn't aimed at children.

The movie is aimed at everyone, It's has something to for everyone to enjoy

For the Kids - Big Robots , Kick ass action ,

For Teens - brief sexual humor, and language

for Adult - Comedy for them to enjoy , etc .

Comedy? If this is comedy then the genre is truly dead.

Because it's not overly violent. My nephew doesn't have a glider to kill anyone with but he certainly goes around calling people dumb ****. Why the hell should a little kid be saying "Mom, what does *********ing mean?" after watching a TRANSFORMERS movie? It ain't Knocked Up.
So. Let me get this straight. The Violence is ok but the sexuality isn't. Hm.

You need thicker skin. You're gonna realize most CHILDREN start *********ing way before their teens, without even knowing it. It's good they learn early. Stop being such a prude.

Welcome to the real world.

Harry Potter. Unless I missed the part where Harry started slapping girls on the ass and calling them hos.

How is Harry Potter aimed toward everybody? So you're telling me that HP is aimed toward the average American guy who works hard and wants to come home to a cold beer, comfortable recliner and watch a kickass action flick to put them in a good mood? Harry Potter movies are aimed toward Harry Potter fans and children. Next?

So why didn't the Toy Company Hasbro stop Bay from making the crude jokes?
