It's a bit of a shock to say but as I touched on in another post Britain seems to be pretty much out of the loop when it comes to the GR movie. Heck I still wouldn't even know there is one forthcoming if I hadn't seen it on these boards.

I just hope when the England release date nears we get kick ass posters, trailers and stuff and it doesn't just appear and dissappear leaving people scratching their heads a few weeks later and saying to each other

"There was a Ghost Rider movie on the Cinema? I don't remember seing that!"

I mean I know we are a small country but we are just as passionate about these kinds of things as Americans are so please don't forget about us :csad:

Oh and by Britain / England I mean all of it and not just London. We that live in the smaller cities would still like to see this stuff first hand so that we can marvel at it and look in wonder and not just see the bottom corner of one poster behind some actor on the televised red carpet premier event.

Now here in the states, if you're in a small town or in the sticks, it's about the same unless the local tv stations are running advertisments.
My theater here won't even know if they are definetly get GR until 2 weeks ahead and they have it advertised as a coming movie in the lobby. :(

Everyone should get equal advertising rights. That way more people know there is a movie coming, more people go to said movie, more money is made at the box office and the chance of a sequel greatly increases.

The old saying you have to spend money to make money must have been too hard for the people who deal with this stuff to understand.

Simply spend a little more money making sure that we little town people get the advertisments and you will get a lot more money back in return.

My theory is that some movies that flopped at the box office might not have done if we people who live in the small cities / rural areas were actually told there is a movie before it was too late to add our money to the total sum.

Well just did a lil research and looks like we have to wait two weeks after for the Ghost Rider movie to be released!!

Why oh why must we wait longer!!!:cmad:

But no there doesnt seem to be much information of this film over here, I dont remember seeing the trailers that often in cinemas!

If it were up to me every living human on this planet would get the reels from this flick violently jammed into their eyesockets one month before release.

Then they'd all get to sit down and watch the movie with frosty carbonated beverages and a corn dog.

Over here films tend to open on Mondays or Fridays (as you are probably aware) the problem is that if it is a Monday start we are first told about it the Friday before. If it is a Friday one we find out about it on the monday.

So basically the norm of this country is to be told that a movie even exists a mere few days before it is released. Whereas in the USA they find out about movies a whole YEAR before if not longer.

how unfair is that!!!????

I just hope MSJ doesnt let the BBFC force him to cut anything for the UK release.

I haven't seen a Ghost Rider trailer or even heard of any of my friends seeing a Ghost Rider trailer in the cinema yet.

But at least we only have to wait a few weeks for it to open. I remember Hellboy opened 5 or 6 months after the US release. That was scandalous.

:whatever:

On the plus side, at least it means that we'll watch it in relatively empty cinemas with just fans. There's nothing worse than a packed cinema full of idiots who clap and shout.

Yeah, you should legally be allowed to clip idiots round the ear for being noisy. And for firing up mobiles with bright, glowing screens.

Or perhaps you should have to get a licence before you're allowed in a cinema.

I'd ban crunchy food too.

:woot:

Fun fact for Brit Ghost rider fans (and one I've been meaning to de-lurk and post for ages)...

Up where my wife's family lives (Derbyshire) is a little local pub that brews all its own real ales, with the usual variety of comedy names. One of these is called 'Ghost Rider'. I'd have thought it was a coincidence, but the picture on the pump handle sign is the full-on Ketch rider, on bike, skull on fire. It seems there are a few GR fans in the brewing trade trying to hype the film! Naturally, that's the pint I order whenever it's on...

Welcome aboard! Cool a GR brew...wish I had one lol

Nice to have you all aboard! There is a pint I would go to England for! Cheers! CR :ghost:
