British World War II Plane found incredibly well preserved in Egyptian desert

Talk about making a clean landing.

Well we found where Rick O'Connell landed in the Mummy.

After two days in the desert sun
My skin began to turn red
After three days in the desert fun
I was looking at a river bed
And the story it told of a river that flowed
Made me sad to think it was dead

You see I've been through the desert on a plane with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la
La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la

That's a great classic.

It probably would have been better if he simply took a nose dive into the desert floor or attempted to ram his plane into whoever was attacking him. The nearest town from that spot is 200 miles away. Try making that trip on a canteen of water in the middle of the desert, and that's only if you actually know which direction to walk in.

Funny....some people complained when Captain America movie came out that no plane would go undiscovered that long.

Yeah, I know right. Well, this is a pretty cool discovery. The deserts of the world could have untold hidden treasures. The arid climate preserves stuff very well.
