ive been to more movies this year than i have in the last two so there were definitely movies that piqued my interest lol. probably will go see at least 1-2 more
Xenforo Cloud upgraded our forum to XenForo version 2.3.4. This update has created styling issues to our current templates.
Starting January 9th, site maintenance is ongoing until further notice, but please report any other issues you may experience so we can look into.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Meanwhile, we are having a historic Thanksgiving weekend. Even Red One is doing well.Remember when the box office this year was bad and they were saying people simply weren't going to movie theaters any more? My contention has always been that the public will turn out if you give them something they want to see. The problem wasn't the public, it was the movies.
I bet we won't be hearing any more "Movie theaters are dying" talk for a while.
I’m sooooo hyped for “Thank Goodness” and “For Good.” But I highly suspect “No Good Deed” is what’s gonna bring the house down in Part 2, because Cynthia! I do have hope for the 2 new songs though since Stephen wrote them.Ariana Grande's Thank Goodness is going to destroy me.
Cynthia and Jonathan Bailey's As Long As Your Mine will light the screen on fire.
No Good Deed??!?!?
For Good... get the tissues ready.
I'm beyond stoked for part two.
Fun fact: when asked if she was offered a role for Wicked, she immediately chose Glinda.saw this again for the second time last night. this time at a cinema cafe. both my friends cried at least once, but i did not. (i'm saving my tears for part II lol)
the coloring didn't bother me. it kinda reminded me of the contrasts between the districts and the capitol.
can't believe Keala Settle is in this and hasn't sung a note! Michelle Yeoh is classy as heck, but i wish they would've cast Sheryl Lee Ralph as Madame Morrible. i'm just loving her since i adore Abbott Elementary and she looks amazing, sounds amazing, etc and killed the role on Broadway.
The Wizard of Oz is the first film i ever saw and one of, if not my earliest memory is learning to rewind the VCR to watch it over and over. i tend to have a fondness for those 1939 movies lol. i actually remember crying when we had to pawn our VCR (of course i didn't understand what that meant, only that i wouldnt be able to watch it anymore).
I owe Ariana Grande an apology. She's an amazing singer although I don't like all her music, but i'd never really seen her act before. i'm older than her Victorious crowd but just seeing her manifest this from childhood to adulthood and how much care and love she (and Cynthia) gave the characters, I respect the heck out of that hustle. I see why they get so emotional on the press tour interviews; they put all their energy, heart and soul into this for so long and people are responding to it.
Defying Gravity and Popular are iconic, but What is this Feeling? has been the one stuck in my head the most. However; my favorite song of the show is in part II: Thank Goodness. Foor Good is iconic as well and goes without saying.
Yeah, next 2 years are looking great.Remember when the box office this year was bad and they were saying people simply weren't going to movie theaters any more? My contention has always been that the public will turn out if you give them something they want to see. The problem wasn't the public, it was the movies.

A long year wait.Saw it last night and enjoyed it! Looking forward to part 2!
Like the last time we went, there was nobody taking tickets. We could have just walked in off the street and straight into any theater we wanted without paying a penny. Not sure if this is the way they're doing it now or what.
A long year wait.

Both. They are VERY different (both tonally and in plot), but both are good imo. The ending is completely changed in the show, for the record, so if you wanna know specifically what happens next in THIS version of the story, watch the show.I wanna know the rest of this story; do y’all recommend the book or just watch the play? Or both? Lol
