Musical Broadway musical hit 'Wicked' to the big screen

I always thought it was a scene for Part 2. And I know it's going to wreck me.

If its a scene for the next installment I could see it being the first scene of as a way to reintroduce these characters as all of them will play a big part in the next one.
Maybe. I'm actually expecting it to come pretty late in the movie myself. Somewhere around "For Good."

Jesus, One Million Moms is still around??

Those racists in Asia don't know what they're missing.

I'm stunned by the overseas numbers. Maybe the next movie will make up for it after a year of PVOD and streaming.

500 mil domestic seems on the table. I bet Christmas weekend will see a nice bump in the states.

I honestly am not cause I do think Oz has been a very American franchise. I don't think Oz The Great and Powerful made a ton overseas either. Some franchises are just like that. The new Ghostbusters films similarly didn't perform well overseas.

But maybe WOM about this one helps for Part 2

Weird. Mission: Impossible did it because it underperformed.

What’s their excuse? That people will be fooled into thinking this is NOT a Part II? lol

Kind of dumb title and feels weird to do when this is doing well.

A part of me feels like this has always been the title. It’s cute.

The only annoying thing is that the onscreen title for Wicked has "Part 1" but since it's just marketed as simply "Wicked" everywhere else I guess it doesn't matter much.

In hindsight they could have gotten away with "Act I" and "Act II" as the subtitles because it would make them stand out from the other Part 1's and Part 2's.
