Musical Broadway musical hit 'Wicked' to the big screen

Even without the obvious choice here, that Lexus commercial with Jon Chu playing during EVERY ad break for me got old before November started. :o
Calm down. It's not like that Candy Crush Saga one.

I would have seen For Good at the Prime advanced screening last night but I'm just recovering from a bad stomach bug so the last thing I needed was a warbling sobby sing-along. :o

This is not shocking and honestly, they're probably being nice about it. This movie shouldn't exist. It's one story intended to be told in that manner. That they stretched out a near perfect musical to double it's length is lunacy. Made worse when the second half is easily the weaker of the two, if you force them apart.

Splitting it in two was always a risky move because as a whole, how many musicals are actually out there that have a better second act? The number's gotta be small and I know Wicked ain't one of them.

Not a risk at the bank though. :weeping:

You can all thank JK and WB for this bull****. :o

Overall I enjoyed it. I think there were certain parts that were rushed and while I understand why they did what they did w/Dorothy......I'm not a fan of it. Wrapping up some of the villains didn't make sense though

Honestly I do understand the reasoning for this more than most 2-parters. The first act of the musical goes by lightning fast so the extra character development that the movie provided was welcome.
You could do that and still make it 1 part.
