A baseball comedy starring Hank Azaria and Amanda Peet on IFC. It's based off a Funny or Die sketch Azaria did in 2010.

From IMDB:

A famed major league baseball announcer who suffers an embarrassing and very public meltdown live on the air after discovering his beloved wife's serial infidelity decides to reclaim his career and love life in a small town a decade later.

IFC has posted the premiere episode on Youtube in full. I don't think I can link to it, but it's easy to find. It premieres tonight on IFC itself.

...And it's already been renewed for a second season.

Is this the best show ever? I don't know. But it could be. It's like Eastbound and Down meets the announcer from Major League.

So yes... it is THAT awesome.

"I don't know whose blood this is. I DON'T KNOW WHOSE BLOOD THIS IS."

This is the greatest show ever made.

"What kind of creature not only kills its prey, but then uses science to rob it of its very living essence?"

The map of the WWII battlefront... Jesus Christ, this show.

the most obvious answer... the translator lol

"Holy ****, is that kid still there?! You didn't try to help him up either, huh?"

"Oh no, he looked very sticky."

I can't remember the last time a comedy has hit the ground running as well as this one.

Eastbound and Down and Vice Principals both did for me.

I didn't watch Vice Principals, and I only caught Eastbound near the end when it was airing on a Canadian sports channel here. I should probably at least pick up Vice Principals.

eastbound from start to finish is gold.

This might be the funniest show on television. A magical hat changing pig... how does it get better?
