First news on Colin Farrell and now we have casting news for Adrian Brody? Is everyone coming out of the woodwork? Whatever happened to Brody? He won an Oscar and then went on to star in a successful...Coca-Cola commercial! Talking about reaping success!

Brody is going to work on the latest thriller from Italian horrormeister Dario Argento. "Giallo" revolves around an American flight attendant who teams with an Italian investigator to search for her missing sister who has been abducted by a serial killer known only as Yellow.

The term "giallo" means "yellow" in Italian and also refers to the Italian pulp, horror and erotic genre of film and literature. Argento has built his name with movies that combine horror and eroticism such as 1977's "Suspiria" and last year's "The Mother of Tears." "Giallo" might mark the first time an actor of Brody's caliber has starred in an Argento film.

I like the sound of this, could be good.

Nice! About time Argento made a new horror film.

Been waiting for sometime new after watching The Card Player.

Sounds pretty cool, I guess it'll be filmed in Italy or there will be a lot of country hopping.

I really hope Argento ups his game in this one. I loved Suspiria, but his last few have been wretched, and I've heard that Mother of Tears is hilariously bad. Here's hoping for the best.

Is Mother of Tears the final film in that trilogy of his?

EXCL: First Pics from Dario Argento's Giallo

Cameras rolled last week in Italy on Dario Argento's latest horror-thriller Giallo and a sinister black gloved individual has passed along three hi-res stills from the production to ShockTillYouDrop.com (click on the preview pic below for access to the gallery). The images offer you a first look at stars Adrien Brody (playing Inspector Enzo Lavia) and Emmanuelle Seigner (The Ninth Gate).

Written by Sean Keller and Jim Agnew, Giallo finds Brody and Seigner searching for the latter's sister (Elsa Pataky) who has been kidnapped by a killer known as "Yellow" (or giallo). The film, which we've been following rabidly since we broke the news last November, finds Argento back in Bird with the Crystal Plummage and Deep Red mode.

its not a direct link because I believe theres R-rated material (there are some scenes of blood) and Im not allowed to post that material

Looks a little more cut and dry than I expected from Argento. Not that it doesnt look good, it looks really good

I watched an edited version of Mother of Tears. The acting and plot were weak. But DAMN - Argento hasn't lost his touch on gore. He's as sadistic as ever. I'm actually glad he didn't use the modern touches of American horror remakes. And if this movie did make more sense I'd be having nightmares.

Nice to see Adrien signing up for horror films. First Splice, now this.

I'm an Argento fan, but after seeing Mother of Tears last night I'm not too excited for this. I have a little bit of faith that he can recapture his old magic, but I won't hold my breath on that.
