"Brother Sam"- Sam Kinison Biopic

Long ago it was announced that there was to be a biopic made about the life and times of the late, great comic Sam Kinison based upon the book "Brother Sam". Some time passed and it was announced that Dan Fogler was a front runner for the part (genius casting I had thought) and then ....nothing.

Until today.

I just came across some footage of Fogler as Sam over on youtube. Apperently this is his screen test (but looks much more finished then a screen test, looks more like actual footage.) and apparantly this has been up since May 13th 2008.

I for one love it and hope that this project sees the light of day.

I hope this happens, I loved Sam Kinison. His death was a big blow to comedians everywhere

Sweet, maybe there's a possiblity of Howard Stern being involved in the film. Kinison really does have an interesting life story, so I'd be up for seeing this.

He is nothing like Sam........just because he can yell doesn't make him like Sam. I grew up watching Sam and I've seen Kevin James stand-up. Not even remotely similar

Kevin James is simply not a good enough actor to pull of a role like that

I thought he was OK....he was great in Collateral and pretty decent in Any Given Sunday, that was probably the first movie I saw in him that he was a really good actor....'The Kingdom' is another favorite of mine, but that came out after 'Ray'

Yea Jamie is a great actor I think Collateral Came out around the same time as Ray
the point is noone thougt he would have an oscar when he was in Booty Call

Kevin James as Kinison? It's possible. James' stand up act is okay. But I'd prefer going into a deep sub-culture to find the right actor for Sam.
