Fuller's Return to Heroes Confirmed
Source:The Hollywood Reporter
December 3, 2008

"Pushing Daisies" creator/executive producer Bryan Fuller is close to a two-year overall deal with Universal Media Studios, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Fuller will rejoin the UMS-produced drama "Heroes," which he left after the first season to launch ABC/WBTV's "Daisies," and will develop new projects for the studio.

Fuller, who is wrapping post-production on the final episodes of "Daisies'" 13-episode second-season order, is expected to officially come on board "Heroes" starting with Episode 20.

His exact role on the sci-fi drama has not been determined, but he is expected to play a key role in the writers room alongside "Heroes" creator/executive producer/showrunner Tim Kring.

Excellent, he will make the show better.

Only downside being... we have to wait for episode 20.

When is the season breaks for NBC shows ?

The show will get better.

I still get the feeling it'll get worse before it gets better.

Finally!! Thank god!!

This makes me smile very muchly, I'm also excited that Mark Verheiden, co-executive produer and writer for Battlestar Gallactica, is now a full on writer for the second half of this season and wrote his first episode, episode fifteen, for volume four!

I guess we will find out with Episode 20

Let's hope that by then, things aren't beyond fixing. But then of course let's also hope that they're not treading water until Fuller's impact can be felt as well.

Now all we need is Christopher Eccleston's Invisible Man to return...

I wouldn't hold my breath. They've been trying to get Eccleston back since the beginning of season two, but his schedule isn't giving them any leway at all.

If I were Christopher Eccleston, I wouldn't be clearing my schedule for Heroes just yet.

ha, they are throwing everything but the kitchen sink at this show...

i just keep imagining what whedon would have done with angel and buffy if he had this sort of budget.

they would also benefit from someone like either Mark Millar or Warren Ellis, or even better (one can only dream) Neil Gaiman

Yeah, what are we at right now? 11? By twenty, a s***load more damage can already be done.

Hopefully it will be getting better at episode fifteen with SuperT's news.

So that means he could hopefully smack down Kring and co's stupid ideas until Fuller gets back and patches up the bleeding out Heroes.

I don't know the full extent of his work on the second half but I know he's there. He was brought in as a consultant for the show back last August, but I don't know how the writers strike affected that at all.

He posted on his blog back on Nov. 13th they had just finished filming his first Heroes episode he wrote, which will be the second one for volume four.

I hope that means we get one good episode before the series actually has a good showrunner again.

Just to nitpick. What we're seeing is not at all representative of Kring's ideas. Last time I checked, he was doing all the technical stuff and zero plotting or storytelling.

That is also why Kring said he would dive back in with the writer's to resolve all of these issues but who knows.

:o That's why I put "and co" :oldrazz:

Good to hear. But by episode 20, the show could be at the point of no return. Some good episodes could occur before then though.

Sadly, I doubt that will be the case. As much as I would love to be wrong in this case, I fear that the show is on a downward spiral that cant be stopped.

Yes bring on the Brits to save the show..........:woot: :oldrazz:

interestingly enough, I hadn't noticed that coincidence before
any of them could plot some ****ed up stuff that would fit right in
