Weirdness ftw! :word:

Well there's good weird and bad weird. I think this leans towards the latter personally.

I definitely hope that at least the 70s will have some colour and flair since it looks like they will not show up in the future.

If they want to make it historically accurate the 70's should definitely have lots of color and lots of flares. Big flares (otherwise known as 'bell bottom' trousers). Flyaway collars, kipper ties, Elvis sunglasses too...

I had to grow up wearing that stuff...:csad::cwink:

would be awesome to see a promo poster with Hugh and Ellen recreating that cover.

Its like a must with this movie. Fox better do it

Actually I'm more interested with the poster behind them with the mugshots of the mutants!

If they don't do one I'll try and update my manip to match whatever the movie is offering (we already know Xavier & Bobby ain't 'slain' for starters)

YAY!:woot:

I think the order of their picture should be like this (if its going to be a poster for DOFP)
Bishop - Colossus - Storm - Rogue
Mystique - Iceman - Beast - Shadowcat
Magneto - blank - blank - Professor X
Warpath - Sunspot - Blink - Wolverine

or you could just update your manip with pics of Havok/Banshee/Omar Sy/Booboo Stewart/Bingbing/Adan Canto

Will have to wait and see more about the story: Ie: are any actually 'apprehended', or are the survivors on the loose fighting a guerilla war? (from what we have seen they are not wearing 'internment' uniforms, though these could be costumes they put on when they escape).

And will need to see what Logan's future duds look like too (Figure I'm gonna have to lose the aged look I put on him either way). Only thing I have to work with atm (that I'm sure would be accurate) is Kittys' future look.

PLEASE, I beg of you.

I'm still trying to understand this almost unanimous assumption by everyone that each character will be wearing one outfit the entire film...

Well I looked at the budget for the film and noticed how little of it was actually going on the costumes. :o

Im so excited for Singer´s return.

This is actually his chance to get back on track. I BELIEVE IN HIM, but is a truth that atfer X2, he hasn´t made something ground breaking. (trashed by SR, mostly meh reviews with Valkyrie and a soul-less Jack the GS).

I dont know if he's supposed to be nervous or stressed about this movie, but the fact of how quickly everything was re-arranged (considering how the original draft for XMFC2 evolved into XM:DOFP) means he has a lot of confidence on this script and really looks motivated for this.

One can only hope for the best.

I actually wonder how much of his vision has changed, considering this is a movie that apparently might break the mold of his previous X-Men movies (more comic bookly to say so) and after Whedon showed to the world that you can still grasp the audience attention with colorful characters.

Considering how some on front page and on places like the Internet movie database regard Bryan It works In his favor and actully lowers expections
for many and others don't expext much from DOFP that It helps him.It can creat a wow,I didn't expext much from this film or that was much better than I
thought It would be situation.

I can remember a time on these boards when many didn't think much of Joss Whedon doing the Avengers dismissing his TV shows and Serenity. Now most conisder him god.Others know he Is largely did with big budget and In actual superhero film what he has been doing on his TV shows.

The high expection hurt the hobbitt.Besides turning one book Into 3 films I don't see why some were complaning, and It's easier to enjoy remianing films now that they blinked and moved third film away from DOFP.

DOFP will be much different film than the Avengers. It IS darkier and more Intense by the storyline and he has hinted as much. There will probally be some humor practically In the 1973 part of film but there won't be a tony STark like character whose half the time creates humor with his smart ass-y
attitude.Of course If you seen whedon TV shows you know that was perfect character for whedon to write.

First LCass already started to embrace more comic booky elements. And he was key member of creative team.

If we can get an X2 quality film with some of more comic booky elements of
First Class I will be very happy.

solid post, marvelrobbins.

I agree.

This movie will put Bryan Singer on a different level, once everyone see it. It has all the ingredients to WOW people, both fans and haters, so its just a matter of time, and he will gain the respect he once had.

@BryanSingerhttps://***********/BryanSinger/status/331854337351487488 Shooting native 3D and Simul-cam. Looks like friggin mission control. pic.***********/RoDPvmhwpA

Simul-cam? That's some Avatar full CG environment ****!

Wow, that is insane. Guess he has been talking to Cameron hahaha

Who is the main effect company working on this?

Richard Stammers (Prometheus) is the VFX supervisor.

Moving Picture Company (Life of Pi) is working on some of the effects. I'm sure there are other houses, like WETA, whom FOX usually employs.

That photo is really our first clue on just how huge this film is. Gonna look pretty out of place in relation to the previous films... which isn't a bad thing.

Yeah, I don't think any harm will come out of giving people a more epic X-Men film.

Well only time will tell if that's the case

Always love this kinda of pics.

The set definitely looks like a beat down city.. engulfed in green screen.

This film is definitely going to be a different than normal X-Men film we are used too. The 3D, likely bigger budget, new camera technology, and more sci-fi elements. Also this is likely the longest X-Men film yet.
