Days of Future Past Bryan Singer Directing X-Men: Days of Future Past - Part 6

But the action scenes in MOS were freaking awesome lol.

That's true, but I was responding to the accusation that Singer can't direct good action scenes. SR had some good action scenes, just not full-blown fights like we wanted.

Man of steel fell Into the disaster porn snydame for me.Like transformers.

Now If you want to prasie Joss Whedon's alien invasion In avengers over SInger's action I will give you that.

Jack the Giant Slayer is all the proof I need that Singer can handle action scenes just fine.

Neither was original Superman.Which Is classic and Inspired a lot of people when making comic book films.

That phrase would make sense if in MoS there wasn't clear and defined action, where the destruction had nothing to do with the plot. Thankfully MoS didn't do that. :yay:

Singer left the X-man franchise to go direct superman returns remember.

yeeaaa, but whats that have to do with anything! lol! Superman =/= X-men.

He would have done X3 if not for Fox rushing it/not doing the contracts etc, but we have been over that so many times.

and Singers X3 would have completely obliterated X2 and Superman Returns. We will see some clear examples of that in DOFP I'm sure! Singers action carries a gravitas to it that I can't really put my finger on. It was clearly present in First Class for sure, Thats what I love! but Im just saying Singer would have done even better, it was basically his idea in the first place anyway.

No when the Hellfire club attacked department X is superior to anything from X1 or X2.

Not even close. If anything, that scene highlights First Class' biggest problem--it's a rush job. Jason Flemyng's choreography is absolutely terrible. It's like they didn't even have time to properly shoot it, which is a shame because the scene starts off so brilliantly.

Jack the Giant Slayer was good. Not great or anything. I'm not itching to watch it again.

It was still freaking awesome

I like how it emphasis the strength of the mutants. No playing. They are there to kill, and they just sweep the opposing forces away. Creatively might I add.

I think the Nightcrawler White House scene was superior! You were on the ride with him...

It's like it should have been more exciting than Nightcrawler's White House scene with Azazel teleporting and dropping guys down from the guy... but it just wasn't. Just didn't feel nearly as intense for me as the X2 scene did

Hell, even the X1 Erik scene where he was taken from his parents had more of an impact on me than the entire extended Nazi sequence that Vaughn came up with for FC's beginning. I still can't get over how cheesy and cringe-inducing Erik's "NEEEEEEEEEEEIN!!" moment was after his mom was killed.

I am still the only human being on Earth that likes this film.

You didn't seem to forget it. You can't stop talking about it. :o

I like jack.It was his attempt to do his own version of lord of the rings.Hell I view Thor films as marvel studios and now disney doing the superhero version of Lord of the rings.Jack made me convinced he would do great with sentinles. The giants were almost a warm up for the sentinles.only now he has better FX people:yay:

I agree on both those, Its just Seeing Eric hunting nazis and cut loose and Charles not be kidnapped or knocked out and all the James bond esque stuff was awesome.
