Days of Future Past Bryan Singer Directing X-Men: Days of Future Past - Part 6

Not a big fan of "recast" under the right direction I think Taylor can pull it off.

To me it doesn't matter if he's good or not, but just to be safe, I would want someone with a better track record. He mostly appeared in bad films that didn't do well at the box-office. Thats the same thing with Ryan Reynold, I don't want to see him anymore in a superhero film.

are you serious??

so Liam Neeson and Alexander Skarsgård shouldnt appear on a superhero movie because they appeared on Battleship too?

or Lynn Collins and James Purefoy shouldnt appear either because they appeared on John Carter?

or Halle Berry shouldnt appear anymore on the X-Men franchise because she had flops like Catwoman or more recently Cloud Atlas?

your comment is one of the most ridiculous points Ive read on the boards ever.

Someone kill that Holloway picture please. He's a fan wet dream that will never come true thankfully.

Bring back Kitsch. :o

I have finally saw jack The Giant Slayer and while I agree It's not one of Bryan's best films I didn't exactly hate It eather.

The trailers gave Ewan Mcgregor a disservice. They would have you think this was a light heated role It was a lot more serious performance Bryan got out of him than I thought It would be.

Besides the script probally could have used some more work I give the films 2 major faults

1:Stanly Tucci didn't act like he was acting In same film as the rest of the actors.
2:The CGI for Giants could have been been better.

Now with better Special effects people on DOFP the giants In jack give me hope he can wow with the Sentinles. With the Prometheus FX Supervisor
on DOFP they will defently look good.Whatever you think about prometheus the special effects were not a problem.

Taylor Kitsch was the star of two major movies that had flopped. The rest were either already established actors that had successfully carried other films, or supporting actors who didn't have the weight of the film's success on their shoulders like Taylor did. He's had nothing but flops when he's been the star, and that's bad. It means a studio can't count on him to bring in audiences if they try casting him as a lead again.

I like him, and would even love to see him come back as Gambit, but it's not unfair to say putting him in another lead would be unwise.

I wonder. His agenda seems fairly full. I think he has another three films coming out soon.....

EDIT: Four

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2018237/?ref_=sr_1

He can't be doing THAT badly...

of those movies, one is a tv movie, he is a ssupporting character in the other two and the last, almost heroes 3D, doesn't seem like the film Taylor would probably want to be in himself. I'm sure he'll jump at the chance to be in a Gambit film.

Not a long time ago Bryan posted a photo of Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty in his house working in a secret project and now he talks about a solo film for Gambit. This can be related... or they're working in X5 which is even better :woot:

he said a while back he'd do it anytime, anywhere. :D I do think he was the better choice, Halloway wouldn't even make my list..... :p

When did Bryan mention he was interested in a Gambit solo film?

Do you have a link? I'm on his twitter page now and I can't find it.

You have to click on "All" on his Twitter feed to see it because it was a reply to someone who tweeted that they wanted to see Gambit again.

Singer just replied that he did as well and that Gambit could carry his own movie which would be tonally different from the X-Men.

I'd rather just see Gambit appear in a well made X-Men flick. I'm hoping this movie turns out to be great and performs well enough to warrant X5 (i'm assuming the current movie is a sequel to X3 and First Class in a weird way).

Liam Neeson actually had hits and appeared in good movies. And I'm not saying all actors who appeared in bad movies shouldn't appear in X-Men movies, its just the ones who had a flop after a flop.

And if my comment is one of the most ridiculous posts here, why do you call yours and your rumours?

I hope its for X5. It would be a good idea if they are already working on it right now so after DOFP is released, they could immediately start on polishing the script and in 2015, start filming the movie.

Cool. Thanks!

I didn't hate Kitsch as Gambit but damn I want a more fleshed out interpretation of the character.

We'll get that one day in a future X-film I'm sure. Gambit was really an extended cameo in XMO:W.

I think I like Kitsch more because of John Carter, but I wouldn't mind seeing him as Gambit again and having the role expanded upon. Gambit is too cool a character to keep on the page!

Just to say: I hope the rumor isn't true that X-Men: The Last Stand isn't retconned; I must be one of the few who liked it, and I'am saying WHILE KNOWING FULL WELL WHAT SINGER'S X3 WAS GOING TO BE ABOUT FROM BEGINNING TO END. But doesn't mean Last Stand was bad, IMO. If one X-Men movie eeds to be retconned, it's X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

I actually don't mind Wolverine but loathe X3...:O

I agree I actually liked X3,only issue i had was how Dark Pheonix was handled im sure Singer would have done a better job.
