Magneto solo movie just sounds weird at this point. First Class already covered his backstory. His role as the mutant leader has already been explored in the OT and the upcoming DoFP. Plus IMO the most interesting aspect of Magneto is his chemistry/tension with Professor X, if you took that away I don't think I'd find the character as compelling. And that has already been explored in the OT, FC and now that in DoFP we'll have both young and old versions of the characters, I don't know if there'll be anything left to explore about that relationship (as much as I love it).

if they did a solo magneto the question is where can you go with it? are there any big storylines from the comics to touch apon? the first one i thought of was Asteroid M but thats kinda doubtful

The appeal to me of a Magneto movie is if they make a Genosha story or House of M with his children.. That can be epic...

I think is too much of a coincidence having Warpath and Sunspot from all the mutants.. they were always planning a link between DOFP and X Force..
In X force i would like to have Warpath, Sunspot, Cannonball, Domino and Psylocke...

and introducing a Cable and Deadpool for a future solo movie...

Let Cable and Deadpool shine alone on X-Force

and Cyclops, Gambit and some others too on next team sequel. With Wolverine having a good role, but no being "God" everywhere, all the time.

Mrs Vimes I agree with your views, I think they have done enough with this character.

In fact I am glad that we have got a new villain to focus in as it continually refreshes e series. Plus we are getting the iconic sentinels.

I love both magnetos though and happy to see them continue in the ensemble films
