Pockets of bigots will always exist. It's not the main stream or incorporated into the law. Statutory rape is a serious issue so to think anyone other than the child is the victim here is really backwards. No one said Singer being gay caused his crime so that point here is moot. Being gay is still an adversity but not here IMO.

You don't think that it opened a few creative doors for the "victim"? It's been a long-time and horrifying generalization that pedophilia and homosexuality are often related. But what does it have to do with it? In reality, of course, nothing.

Right. There was a time in California when they tried to pass a law that wouldn't allow gays to be teachers. California Governor Ronald Reagan and President Jimmy Carter helped make sure it did not pass. Unfortunately, this sort of belief that being gay lends itself to pedophilia still exists.

Also, I remember people saying that they weren't going to see X-men: DOFP because of this and I just want to remind people this is why in this country there is innocent until proven guilty. Wait until all the facts are in and justice is served before you jump to conclusions.

I agree 100% that morality laws have been used to persecute gays throughout history, but this is not one of those cases. Brian Singer is one creepy-ass queen.
