I don't think I've ever responded this quickly to a poll in my entire life. :DV:

If I had to choose, I'd say B:TAS. I liked the Nolan trilogy, but it's done.

I'd actually like something totally new and different though.

same lol..

BTAS was probably one of my favorite parts of childhood, and after starting to watch every episode again recently, it still holds up very nicely.

also, Conroy and Hamill will always be the voices I hear in my head as Batman and Joker (like so many other people have said.)

Batman the animated series but what's this got to do with the film?

to stay on topic with the subforum this was posted in, I believe that The Fleck's batman world will be better than both the BTAS and Nolanverse.

he can do it!

but BTAS will always hold a special place in my heart.

BTAS is still the standard for me... if you can't tell already *looks at signature*

Who is the heathen who voted for nolans universe? BRING HIM TO ME!

Heck, EVERYTHING in BTAS is better than NOlan's version :o

ha, good look with that!

Those are strong words... But I hope you're right.

believe me, I would argue that I love BTAS more than anyone in the world, but for the sake of being a devoted fan of the character, how can I not root for Affleck to prove the naysayers wrong and be the best incarnation of Batman to date?

Well, i wouldn't go that far. It's still a cartoon made mainly for kids. Nolan's movies and live-action in general can do things for the characters that BTAS couldn't do.

With that said, ill take BTAS + Mask of the Phantasm and all that over the Nolan films.

But let's not get too crazy in saying that EVERYTHING BTAS did was better than Nolan's. I would have to disagree with that.

That's why I added the ":o", because I was half joking. I love Nolan's Batman, but I think BTAS was pretty darn good for a children's cartoon. Even X-Men TAS (my fav cartoon) didn't reach the highs that Batman TAS reached

I was going to bring that up too. But I think we can all agree that BTAS was much closer to the source material than the Nolanverse obviously since Nolan wanted to make his Bat much more realistic. For a show mainly for kids, it(along the other DCAU shows) had a lot of adult themes and situations. I noticed you mentioned Mask of the Phantasm, but what about Batman & Mr Freeze: SubZero? That movie was epic!

Nolan Batman. I connected a lot more with Baleman than TAS Batman.

BTAS every time.

I didn't like how Nolan neutered Ra's Al Ghul by taking away his immortality.

Nolan's world didn't feel like a place where villains like Mr. Freeze or Killer Croc or Poison Ivy could exist. I like the fantasy elements in the Batman mythos. The Arkhamverse has proven that those elements can work in a serious and adult environment that isn't the comics.
